Thats nice too. I am ordering Alliums in the fall and need some companion ideas. I know thay look good with TBI but I dont have many.
TBI 's that is. DD has them in her garden. Its so windy where my gardens are I choose the medium sized ones.

if I have to divide any this year... I will let you know

South Hamilton, MA

Try so intermediate sized irises. Earlier than most TB & perhaps a better fit for size. If TBs, go for the shorter ones, under 36".

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the tip. I didnt know TBI's came shorter. I bought medians last spring.
Local guy digs a clump and charges seven dollars. I divided 1 clump into 3 plants each has blooms.

Any bearded iris over 28" is officially TB. They can go up into the 40" range which I don't like. When you have a chance to get them, check the plant files for height.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Iris.I will.30 inches might be alright. I have some at 40 and they were left here.
They flop when in bloom and get taken down with spring high winds and showers.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks for all the compliments on my double bloodroot, guys! Abby, I have not checked to see if my bloodroot is up yet, but I don't think it is. It usually comes up a little later.

Celeste, I love your pics of 'San Souci'. Yours too, Pirl.

Can't wait for this to bloom this year, that I got from Seneca Hill Perennials last spring. Too bad they are closed for retail orders.

envoy tropical butterfly... seed grown

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

It looked like an impatien but the leaves threw me.
Jonzen for those.I see the drawbacks of not using lights.
I have to gamble on being able to find the plants I want here and usually am disapointed.Have to make substitutes
I wish I could have better luck with seeds. No room for lights here so its the crowded livingroom window.

Currently I am hopeing to find trailing torenias and trailing impatiens.
Since I will raise MG's in the LR window and Chinese Houses I might try Swallowtail for what I want in trailers.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

park seed and garden harvest supply have low cost annuals... I know parks is hit & miss but they usually make good with a refund if you are fast about it... and I like parks because there 6 packs fit the bloom master planters side holes perfectly.. and I like GHS because they give you a credit for your next purchase ... with everyone you make now... like a credit card cash back.. down side is I hate the navigation on there site.. I didn't grow any toreina this year.. so I bought a bunch from there

Allison, your hummer photos are wonderful! Jo, I'm looking for more lilies like Twinkles, but can't find any......

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Nuts, love your Primula seiboldii and of course I love Ge1836's L. Twinkles. My primula about to pop.

Here is a reticulata that I took when we got back to Nantucket at around 6:00 last night. It is was back lite with the setting sun and it is planted along side a stairs so I didn't have to lay on the ground to take it. Pretty little thing called fittingly, Iris reticulata Purple Gem. I came home to an army of crocus and iris in bloom and a couple of Narcissus about to open, today I think. Yippee. Patti
