Hello All,
My tomato seedlings are about 6 weeks old. I started the seeds with MG potting soil in jiffy pots. I use the Jump Start Growing light raised about 6 inches above the plants. A few days ago I noticed one plant which was growing nicely is slightly wilting with some yellowing appearing around the edges and leaves appear blotchy. I am not sure if this a sign of a certain deficiency or from under/over watering? All my other tomato plants look fine.
Can someone identify what the problem may be? I would hate to see it completely wilt and die.
Indoor tomato seedling w/ yellow blotches?
Are you using any fertilizer? How often are you watering?
Organic_Joe, the only fertilizer used was what was in the MG potting mix formula. This week I transferred it to a 16oz cup and added the MG quick start fertilizer. The plant itself looks healthy and has tons of new growth present. However the lower leaves are still showing these signs. Also, I am now noticing the same on my other tomato plants. But they are all growing quickly and no wilt is present.
Any ideas?
*** Watering varied due to the peat pots absorbing most of the water. It was hard to tell because it always felt dry. Usually 3 or 4x a week.
