Does anyone know any ways to get rid of groundhogs besides using a live trap or shooting them? They demolished my lettuce and broccoli crops last year and they also liked eating green tomatoes. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Last year, I had alot of problems with groundhogs
Um, honestly...? Well, my co-worker had a horrible problem, and she ended up putting up a fence, making sure that the fencing and chicken wire went more than a foot deep. The critters simply couldn't get in! They must have ultimately given up, because she said she hasn't had a problem since. I wouldn't fuss with things like soap or hot pepper, they seem to be immune.
