My seedlings are beginning to sprout their second leaves but are extremely short. They are Lychnis seeds and right now the tallest one is about 1/4 inch high. Is this normal, or do I need to worry? Thanks!
seedlings
Most people have the opposite problem where their seedlings aren't getting enough light and so they get really leggy and floppy. So assuming they look healthy otherwise it's probably nothing to worry about.
Thanks so much! I'll keep an eye on them!
Love,
Ella
1st set of leaves not true leaves of plant is usually the second set is the true leaves of type of plant others uaually drop off later. I grow my babies under florescent light and keep them pretty close so they don"t get leggy, for less than $15 can get a set of lights and start scads of things, lol. Good luck, Kathy.
