Hey, any Texans here - keep your dirt at home, please!
Night before last we had a big thunderstorm front come through. It rained MUD. Now the car washes are all busy, our dog had muddy water in her water dish, and I understand people who have swimming pools aren't happy.
The TV weatherman explained it last night. He showed a satellite picture of a huge dust storm that covered most of northern Texas. The dust blew into the rainstorm, got washed out of the clouds, and it landed here in Missouri.
If you're gonna do that, at least get to mulching and composting and send us some good garden soil! LOL
Mud Rain
We get lots of west Texas dust all summer. It's a toss-up, sometimes the issue is dust, sometimes the issue is smoke from Mexico and Central America! Air quality is NOT always the best in central Texas....

Interesting, I watched a documentary awhile back about the dust bowl years, apparently some of that dust ended up on the East Coast.
No wonder that west TX soil is so poor... all the good stuff got sent to MO! lol
