Suey only goes to get her nails clipped, & the groomer kisses her the whole time while Suey shakes like a leaf......Robs is good at the groomer's, but it's very tiring for him....he's actually walking better today, but still is headed for the vet's.....

I have not visited this thread in awhile. Hard to keep up.

Sorry to hear about Sarah and Jilly, though I'm glad to hear that both are doing well.

Ronnie, Diesel is a gorgeous dog, as are all your others.

Patches is doing well. Buffy not so well. He is so arthritic in his hind legs, like Robs. He also gags a lot like he's got something stuck in his throat. He's becoming picky about his food lately. Doesn't want to eat the dry stuff, but he will eat it when we mix in canned. He's going to the bathroom in the house a lot, too, sometimes even after he's just been outside. He's 13 now.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Karen he is fitting in well!

It's so hard when they aren't up to par....we only have them for a short time...someone once said to me "Oh I would never have a Dane, they don't live long enough" My answer is I would never NOT have a pet, they give us more pleasure in their short time with us than some of my human family members. Not to mention it is a known medical fact they lower blood pressure and stress...♥

hope Buffy is ok {{{{{Karen}}}}}

Handsome boy! Sorry about Buffy, Karen....he may be getting senile, which is what happened to the mini poodle I had as a teen......he was about 15, & no longer knew who I was.....

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice pics, Victor. Gorgeous cat.

Thanks for your concerns about Buffy, guys. I'm afraid it's all old age symptoms. Poor thing will not last too much longer, I'm afraid.

Sorry to hear, Karen. Always tough. Crash will be 14 soon.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Sorry to hear about Buffy.
Good kitty shots, Victor.
Sarah continues to improve. She's pretty much back to her old self rolling on the now snow free lawn and chasing her tail. Stitches come out Tuesday AM.

sniff makes me giggle

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Me too!

I'm in love with this beautiful Siamese. Looks exactly like a cat we once had. If I did not have three, I would go for it. Trying to see if my parents will. My father's favorite cat of all was the one this one resembles - named Casper.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Pretty Siamese, I was thinking the ones from Lady and the Tramp....don't like those!!!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I agree Jen pretty Siamese, but the give me the creeps...I had a girlfriend when I was a kid that had 3 and they were all real mean! Couldn't even pet them. She had the darker ones, chocolate or something like that.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yay for Sarah! Glad to hear she's doing well and feeling frisky.

Jing is very pretty, Victor.

Thomaston, CT

Wow, Sarah looks so much better! Victor, Jing is a doll......hope your parents think so, too!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Houston we have a problem... I went in the back yard to take a first of the season stroll... and play Sherrie's pick em up sticks... I hear a rustling over by my creeping phlox.. sounded to big to be a chipmunk.. low and behold... it's HOPE... not sure if she climbed up the retaining wall or jumped up... either way... she was out loose... and does not listen to me when I call her... GOOD LORD.. I bend down and give her the "where is my Hopie Lopie... ooooohhhh where is my baby"... and she ran the other direction... GASP.. Randy must have heard me and came running out and she ran right to him... thank god... not sure how we are going to fix this.. but I think I am going to have to bring her in the yard with a leash until we do...

the step in my house going from the living room to the kitchen.. you guys might remember from the puppy videos.. I put a baby gate there when we get food delivered or someone like the gas guy is coming in... she went up and over that whole deal the other day as well... has to be close to 4 foot all together with the step & gate.... not good.... not used to a jumper.. she is the only one who has ever done that

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, I hope you can keep Hope contained! Not good! Good luck!

Karen

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm glad she's OK but i got a good giggle w/vision of you in you sweetest voice calling her....then runs into Randy's arms!! LOL
DD just went thru the same thing only pup went missing for over 12 hours in 30 degree weather ....was very frightening.
I have a jumper, had to get 6ft fence because she can clear 5ft. :(

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

rut roh....keep practicing recall with her....

South Hamilton, MA

obiedence school for Hope!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

just booked a class Iris... I was working with her but not enough.. and it is not working... she is JUST like Lily was... when Lily was a pup I wondered if she was deaf... I would be 3 feet from her .. call her .. tell her come.. and she wouldn't even look at me... going to school helped with her.. it's Hope's turn now... Macgyver / Randy has a plan to block off the top of the wall

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh no Allison, that's the scary one...goodluck with the class!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks Ronnie... just amazes me Eros is soooo good.. tell him no once... he stops... call him he comes... he even had a toy in bed one night.. I told him to lay down once.. and nice and soft.. he did.. amazing how they all really do come out different

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Glad you got her back Allison. Dexter suffers from selective deafness also....especially when he is swimming right into the boat's channel. Nerve racking to say the least. Bugsy is now officially ding-a-lingless. snip, snip

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oohh that could be a problem too... not good.. sorry Bugsy!!!!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Patches has selective hearing, too, but that's typical of Basset hounds.

Karen

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh poor Bugsy!

onewish1:

Get creative with inexpensive materials: fashion a non-sharp, extended foot of height to the baby gate using safe materials.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Randy will fix that stuff... hopefully I can get her to listen .. that is more of my concern

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Harper was easy with recall because she is afraid of so much she wants to be near us. Atticus it was a bit harder with...I used a can of dog food and everytime he came back I gave him a tiny taste. Messy but it was one of the few treats that worked. It seems like forever before I could go anywhere without a rag to wipe my hands!!

Thomaston, CT

If you folks want stubborness, get an airedale.......my 3 never listened, and all went to obedience classes.....My GSP mix was obedient from day 1.....good news on Robs....the vet said he had a sprained wrist, arthritis, & a Lyme infection.....gave him a shot, meds, & he's doing much better today.....Suey's turn to go at 1:00 today.......I need another job!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Stubborn - you want stubborn? Get a cat!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or my MIL.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Easier to talk sense to a cat.

Naugatuck, CT(Zone 5a)

you slay me!

South Hamilton, MA

You can talk, but I doubt if they listen.
