Quilty, I live in the central time zone, so that would be shortly before 6 AM for me. Luciee (:^) A friend sent this pic to me. Everyone enjoy.
Today, I am thankful for...#3
Ooooh, TODAY, I am thankful for!
Opening Day - Go Rangers!
Plant co-ops - love my Mexican Heathers
Having felt genuinely cheerful all day - not usual lately, so very welcome :-)
Today, I'm thankful for Fiskars tools, wheelbarrows(again), coffee and Rodigio Grill.
Yea, tools! :-)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, I am thankful:
That my work is close enough I can go raid the office dog's chews for MY dogs (because I forgot yesterday to get them at the store).
That the office is in an industrial area, no one is around weekends, and I can stay in my pajamas for the raid (because that is frowned upon at the store).
That if the Prius is kept to 40MPH or less, and the windows are open instead of running the A/C, and if I hit all green lights there and back, the car will only use a few drops of gas (because I would feel guilty using fuel to go for JUST spoiled-beastie dog chews at the store).
"Woman found lying in industrial park in her pajamas, Monday morning, clutching dog chews while Prius runs and wastes gas" She never knew what hit her.
Be safe Debra!
Thankful for DD.
LOL She SACRIFICED for her dogs.
Double glad you're safe.
I am thankful for motels with friendly women operators.flowers in little packs to plant. And National Guard.WARM WEATHER!
Vickie
We had 76º here yesterday. Today, I'm thankful the 5" of snow we got mostly melted away.
I'm thankful I was able to clear one of the beds of all the plants except the obnoxious grass. I still have to dig that out.
I'm thankful I can still access the internet after several computer problems. (Can I just say, I am NOT thankful for MSN right now?)
I'm thankful for warm kitties, neighbors who watch out for each other, greenhouses, DHs who make dinner and maple syrup.
I hear you about NOT bEING THANKFUL for MSN.
Vickie
Have you been having issues, too?
Sure do. I have an MSN2 TV They started it up and forgot about it. The service is terrible. Sometimes it acts like it's on dial up.Sometimes I cannot access my favorite websites. My E-mail has been a daylate before. Hows that for a start. Whats your grief?
Vickie
After June 30th, we won't be able to access the internet through MSN unless we want an extra service charge. We'll have to go through Qwest for internet access and Windows Live for email. My computer runs on Windows XP and nothing is as easily compatible as it once was. Grrr...
From what i understand that is the problem. MSN is not and has no plans to update anything.
My understanding, as well.
Where's that warm kitty? I need a cuddle. LOL
Will a hug do? You want a cat?
(((((HUGS)))))
Today I am grateful for a thread with this theme....thankfulness. I am aware that a heart full of thankfulness has no room for griping and negative attitudes. Last week I was feeling a bit under the weather and it seems that often times when my body is ailing, it affects my psyche. I knew that some of the thoughts coming up and bugging me were things that on a better day I could have just written off to others having a bad day. With the bad attitude I had, I was taking everything very personally and feeling really put out and sad. I don't like living there in the land of bad thoughts.
It is now a new week and I am going to try my best to maintain a thankful heart. Sure is a better place to live. Thanks to whoever thought of having this thread, such a good idea. I need to be reminded and prodded at times to remember just how truly blessed I really am.
Hope that every one else will enjoy a good week too.
Ruby
quilty and vickie, "industrial area" by me is a bit different from what maybe first impression. we are wide open with clear sightlines in both directions. plus the front door opens to a high lanai i guess is a good word. so i can see if anyone is anywhere even close in plenty of time to scoot back in the building or get in the car and lock up. this one is facing east.
LOL, indeed Debra. OMG, face the employees without Debra as a liaison!
Ruby, you are right about focusing on a thankful heart and that it then leave little room for the bad stuff. Need to refocus right now as there is a lot of bad juju in this household!
Thankful for my little Fernando helper this weekend. He trimmed down 2 of the straw looking fountain grasses so far. Need to divide a couple of those suckers as they are too big. We can talk while we work and I try to help him with his sense of loss of having his dad gone. His teacher said he is having problems in school with wetting himself and such. The kids just went back today from Spring Break and he was looking forward to going back and getting his 'homework Journal' back that I had helped him with. We spoke about how Jesus is always there with you, no matter. He was saying that his grandpas were dead (grandmas are in MX), but how he still has my DH as his grandpa, then shyly said that I was like a grandma too. :-), heart melting.
Thanks for the hug, Vickie. That felt great!
Ahhhhhhhh...Quilty, that's so great. A young person to mentor is always a good thing. He's learning much more than you think and it's all good.
Today, I'm thankful for DH's job. He was recently made Team Lead and this week his boss has him in charge of the whole section while he (the boss) is on vacation.

Quilty's birthday - hope it's happy; you have helped all of us feel more thankful.
Once again, I am thankful for the big medical area I live near.
I am thankful for my daughter #2's achievements so far as a musician at 17.
I am adding to my list of things today.
I am thankful for people who let me make jokes.
Bookseller clerk as I handed over a large tome for purchase...
"Wow, that's a lot of words."
Me...
"That's okay. A lot of them are repeats."
that's funny, kwan. :-D

today i am thankful for:
(again) the Irises that have started opening. beautiful sight in the morning, even if it does make me want to stay home from work. :-)
altoid mints
puppies, especially someone else's. i can play without wanting to take home or having to clean up. [grin]

Ooooooo...I love Altoids.
Sansai - nice pictures, a gift to you perhaps?
Carrie, you are right about being thankful for medical proximity. As we have looked for a place to move, either in this area or another state, medical is a serious consideration as we get older (well, really, who gets younger) and DH already has lots of medical needs.
Thanks for the birthday greeting. Had a nice day and DD made an amazing photo collage and framed it, as well as a beaded necklace with 3 lockets - all with photos and a fun dinner of 'healthy (whole wheat, spinach)' pizza.
quilty, that is sooooo cool!
today i am thankful
for generous and thoughtful people. thank you kay, nadine, and jim :-)
for seedless tangerines
for alarm clocks
Love the collage quilty. A lot of love was put in to that.
Kiseta......I am with you one hundred percent on thankfulness for electricity. We had major wind storms here yesterday and our area was without power for most of the day. I did the same as yourself and took a much needed most of the afternoon long nap. Losing power definitely rates in my list of top ten pet peeves. I realize what a spoiled person I am when I have to do without all of the electrical needs I have within a day.
Again, I am thankful for a place to be reminded that I need to have a more thankful heart.
Ruby
Today is easy. I am thankful for prednisone, albuterol, antibiotics, mucinex, the proximity of my doctor and her willingness to try to understand what effect MS is having on the rest of my health.
Quilty, hopefully the cartoons will help you smile through it the next time you suspect your horses of mischief. Wouldn’t want them to be the fall guys for something the unicorn did. :-) Those are beautiful quilts, BTW.
Today, I am thankful again for MK’s unusual breakfast. This morning it included a soup made from the Welsh onions fresh out of the garden. It didn’t have that sharp edge I associate with onion soup. It tasted a lot like cream of asparagus. Yum! ~Nadine~
not familiar with large animals. knew enough when a kid to stay away from gertrude the hog 'cause she was MEAN. and the cow was a real klutz so you had to stay away from the hooves. but keeping them away from vegetation like roses and stuff? had no idea horses would do that kind of damage from EATING your yard!
=============================================================
today i feel thankful for
Powerade
Finding a few tufts of Blue-Eyed Grass in the railroad easement between our office and the neighboring office. They are now in my front yard. :-)
the boss' youngest. she is always happy to ferry my dogs (one or two at a time) to the vet for shots and nail trims. since it is tough for me to get out and i'm usually too tired to do much but go home at day's end, it is werry, werry, werry helpful. (channeling elmer fudd)
lol Debra, I did'nt have enough sense to stay away from large animals. Glad G-d takes care of children and fools. Glad you're a wildflower thief like me.
Am thankful for chocolate bunnys and dirt, Just plain dirt.
dirt is is delightful. smells good, feels good, does good.
==============================================
...thankful i have the day off tomorrow to go help a co-op owner fill plant orders. and get mine first! yee-HAW!!
...thankful that my sister is gradually at least cutting down on her smoking. i smoked for 18 years and know how tough it is to stop, but i worry about her a lot. big sisters are always big sisters even when both sisters are more than 50 years old. :-)
...thankful that vickie feels up to posting. i worry about her, too. [hug]
Think it's time for a new thread. #4! I am so proud. Thank you, thank you, everyone.
