I ordered seeds last year, one was a Yellow Hibiscus. I have a red hibiscus tree for over 10 years. and this yellow doesn't look like it .The leafs are different ,the flower looks a little the same but the stingma doesn't grow out of the petals like my other tree. Now I see the leafs have grown to look more like the tree I have .But it's not as dark green and thick.
So is this how young hibiscus grow,or did I get the wrong seeds?
This is the picture of the hibiscus last year in the fall when I took it indoors.
Thank you
To the far left of the flower that green is my rabbit foot fern, the leafs in the middle look at .
Oh one more thing on the leafs and stems are crystals like salt was sprinkeled on it .Is that something the plant is making himself or some new bug I do not know. I just saw it today
Thanks again

Help is this a Hibiscus?
Looks like Abelmoschus manihot http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1888/ It's in the same family as hibiscus.

What about the crystals on the stem and leafs? As I said it looks like some one sprinkeled salt on it.
Sorry, can't see those in your picture. It wouldn't hurt to try and wash them off in case they're from some sort of bug.
