I have two Meyers lemon trees. The 1st is about 4to5 years old, it produced one lemon that was as sweet as sugar. The second year it produced about a half dozen lemons all very sour. I purchased another Meyers about 2to3 years old it has produced int he first year that I have had it 38 beautiful lemons of good size . I have picked a lemon each month for the last 2 months and they are a little tart. the last lemon was about half way there to becoming sweet and it had fallen from the tree. The trees are potted. Is the soil lacking some thing that the trees need to create sweet lemons? They are a beautiful Yellow color.
any help that's out there I would appreciate.

Meyers Lwmon Soil ?
not sure about lemons, but oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit need lots of sun and some cold to be at their best flavor.
Thanks, we've had plenty of sunshine and cold weather here in Sarasota. But only had to cover the trees twice this year.
I had to laugh. I'm sitting here watching the snow melt and wishing I could go outside to pick lemons. Major zone envy happening.... :D
