one more question, about what someone helped me identify today as a kaffir lime tree (thanks, davesgarden users!):
i don't know how i overlooked this, but i just noticed that a handful of leaves have this very distinctive bleached pattern to them -- as if someone had erased the color off of a few patches of the leaf. the one in the photo has an almost block-like patch, but on some of the other ones, it's more of a speckled/splatter effect, or more irregular shaped.
any clue what this is?
kaffir lime leaf: "bleached" spots??
anyone?
As this does not look like insect damage or any of the common diseases of citrus plants, I suggest that you have your soil tested to see if there is any mineral or micronutrient deficiency. Also, check to make sure that the soil is not overly wet.
