I've had several evergreen perennials that have lost their foilage or the foilage has turned black this winter. I was told by a local nursery that the whacky weather we had in November caused a lof of problems and several people have damaged plants that have survived other winters for years.
The plants that seem the most damaged were planted within the last two years but I do have some established plants that took a hit as well. I'm located in Puyallup, WA.
Just curious as to how many other's gardens suffered from the quick, frigid temps in November.
did it get too cold too fast in Nov '10?
