Help with seed identification...

For the first time I have made some trades this year, many actually. Recently I tradedfor some Datura and some Brugmansia. I received two trades labeled Angel's Trumpets. I have heard both datura and brugmansia called that so Iam at a lost as to which is which. One packet of seeds are small, circular and black and the others are flat, roundish and tan/brown in color. Can anyone help me I identify these?

Hi indigo, my guess is that both packets of seeds are datura, which can be black, brown, and light brown. The brugmansia seeds are much larger. I'll post a pic on the photo forum for you. The grouping of seeds are datura and the single seed is B. sanguinea. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Jean! that was very kind and so helpful. They are all datura seeds. Thanks again.

You are most welcome Indigo...glad I could be of help. Beautiful and interesting night-blooming flowers are the daturas.

Yeah, it's weird. I have datura seeds that are flat and tan. I also have datura seeds that are massive (much like a Brugs seed). Lastly, my mom has some datura seeds that are small and black (they remind me of Ipomoea seed).

I'm glad to see this thread - it settles a big mystery for me.
