I have a beautiful Cyclamen that I've had almost a year and I don't know to much about them, but as of right now It is blooming but the leaves on it are very scarce so a couple weeks ago I put it in some new soil, but I'm just not sure if the leaves will come back. (i have it in a cool east facing window and we are in zone 5)
Will my Cyclamens leaves come back?
The plant is probably in shock, it is never a good idea to change the soil of a plant while it is in flower as it shocks them, also I would suggest having it at a window will be too cold especially at night when there can be a frost in the air,.
cant really tell, but the soil looks rather dry and even though these plants hate there feet in wet soil, and the crown (where the leaves and flowers grow from) cant be wet either or the tuber will rot, best way to water these plants are from the bottom, I sit mine in a bowl of water half way up the pot, after about an hour, look and see if the top of the soil looks damp, then remove the pot from the bowl and allow it to drain before placing it back into a cool dappled light place, a bathroom or kitchen is usually good as the plants get humidity and light if there is a window that allows enough dappled light in. hope this helps you out. Good luck, WeeNel.
Your Cyclamen may be entering it's dormant stage where foliage and flowers die back. The tuber beneath the soil will still be alive but when it goes dormant you should withhold water, or it will cause the tuber to rot.
Here's some information for care and culture of Cyclamen: http://www.extension.umn.edu/yardandgarden/ygbriefs/h145cyclamen.html
and the listing in Plant Files with lots of photo's: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2508/
That soil looks very peaty. Maybe too peaty.
