Wha, I think you will like it. It will suit your garden. I would post the noid pink one that I have for you to see, but that would break the rules. It was suppose to be white, but when it finally bloomed after a couple of years it was a nice reddish pink. Not as special, but a great late color to have.
Could I have not notice the Lespedea blooming before as it is in an odd and kind of hidden spot. Embarrassing or does it mean my garden is finally too big as perhaps Pirl is eluding to. I admit to getting totally caught up on adding "stuff" even when I have too much "stuff" already. Guilty But a guilty pleasure. However I need to re-watch George Carlin bit on"Stuff" and reign myself in a tad. Patti
Garden Photos one per day 2011
Actually, Patti, I was not alluding to you at all. We have a neighbor who has a vast collection of daffodils and an equally vast area of empty spots, at the front of each garden, when the daffodils die back. The solutions are endless but she leaves the voids for the entire season. I'm happy with fewer varieties and fewer vacancies.
You have the acreage to hold so many plants and Nantucket is heaven on earth so I'd say go for it.
Thanks Pirl, I should have said I was "alluding" to your reference, but honestly, I really should try to "elude" buying too many more plants. And I should learn how to spell.

i am trying to get as many jm's as i can sqeeze in (i've added another from what i posted for spring delivery) - dogwoods seem to find me as do redbuds - if something looks good to me i will try and find one, and then there are the rocks - very guilty here and a patti says a nice guilty pleasure.
Wha, I want some white red buds. Do you have them too? Patti
i think there is only one - a chinese variety and YES i have it :) still a little guy maybe 4' and thin - it gets flowers though
very pretty
It is a snow day, so no rules apply. Where did you get your white red bud? Patti
Wow....really liked all of them....thanks, Lortay, for posting one from Ireland.....your climate is probably similar to Nantucket's (where I'm going to move if I see one more flake of snow!).
i got a bunch of rb's from sooners plant farm - i would try elsewhere though shipping from them is brutal lately - although have not looked this year.
Wouldn't a white red bud be a white bud? ;)
That a WOW! glad Jen. Nice WL Victor. Everytime I see one I want to add a water freature.
Bill, I have always liked "wicked" as an adjective, but being in MA this fall reinforced it.
I'm at work, can you tell we have NOTHING to do.
me too - been working on a presentation and need to step away and revisit tomorrow

Pretty color on that Glad!
Everytime I post that pic someone wants seeds.
I was just thinking about absent old DG'ers .What ever happened to Dale the Garder?Did he return from the west?
Pretty, pretty!
Sterility does not translate to short lived, Jo. Just no seeds. Agastache generally do not last long in our area because they just cannot tolerate being wet. They are ideally a xeriscape plant.
Guess my writting isnt that great.
I didnt mean to indicate there was a connection.
It just drove me nuts when 8 people would ask for seeds when I posted the pic.
The ones I had the first year died. I bought locally and they seem to be doing well.
I lost another last year so I have a Salvia Caradonna in there.
Jo Ann - Dale did go to California and did return to Florida and his former home. He's been rather quiet.
If you remember David_Paul from Connecticut, he died 11/30/10. I miss him very much.
What happened to Dave47?
Is David-Paul his garden name? If so I dont remember him.
Hemahostahollic is missing too.
My memory is so horrible but Did he move?
Yes, David_Paul was his DG name.
I miss Thom, too! I don't know if he moved.
Another glorious photo, Victor.
Thanks, pirl. Wonderful little plant. Long-lasting bloom in a great shade of blue.
Oh, gorgeous! Like the one in the background as well.....
Thanks. It was one of the first ones I ordered from Ensata and it's a good grower.
David_Paul died? what happened? sorry to hear that.
Dave47 I think is just on Facebook.
Here was my MIA thread...maybe we can do some updating...
