Nice combo, Jen!

Love that wall of honeysuckle!

Who is Pink Floyd? Is he a DG subscriber? (Probably just another Perry Como wannabe!)

Seedling from Enchanted April:

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

pirl i hope you are joking. does that dl bloom in april?

johin is one i do not have - love the leaves victor.
nice combo jen!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The name of the mother was 'Enchanted April', named for a daughter of the breeder, April. The seedling blooms in July.

Johin is lovely and reminds me of a frilly dancing girl outfit.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Pink Floyd was a rock star group in the 70's and 80's.
I would be a great name for a clematis, double pink with a hint of magenta.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe a guy named Pink Floyd wearing Johin??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The endless snow could get me to envision it quite easily.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Lets talk to clem hybridizers.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Do I know him?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Any relation to Clem Kadiddlehopper??

Thomaston, CT

Uh, oh....cabin fever setting in...I never heard of Pink Floyd, either! I love all the pink flowers today, & that rebel Jen, who posted blue & yellow....that DL seedling is a great pink....I'll try a pink rhodo.....

LOL, always a rebel!

South Hamilton, MA

Shows all old some of us are. Middle daughter listened to Pink Floyd when she was in jr. high school.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Brilliantly colored rhodo, Marilyn. Right now all the rhodies here are snow covered cigar shapes.

South Hamilton, MA

Rhodie leaves are shrivled poor things. I need to cheer myself up, so:

that beauty will do it!!

South Hamilton, MA

Thanks, it's a seedling of mine. Like everything else (except the Nova Zembla rhodie & trees & shrubs) it is under the snow. I think the NZ branches are damaged. We bought it knee high about 15+ yrs ago.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I remember my grandmothers wygia. She called it Beauty Bush

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Pretty Big Wows on both of those Weigela. I ordered a new one called Weigela bokraspiwi Spilled Wine and am looking at one with pale yellow blooms. I only have a white one so far, which is far too few.

Here is another wall of blooms on Lespedea Gibraltar in mid Sept. I have a pink one too and am adding a white one this spring. Patti

nice patti - i have a little one from lazy s&s that i ordered last fall after seeing yours here before.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

weggie wars!!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Good to hear you're not competitive, wha. I sometimes wonder why people want every cultivar of so many plants. It's easy to just enjoy what we have.

Navan, Ireland

For bbrookrd:
Weigela middendorfiana, Vandeleurs Gardens, Kilrush, Co. Clare.
