The name of the mother was 'Enchanted April', named for a daughter of the breeder, April. The seedling blooms in July.

Johin is lovely and reminds me of a frilly dancing girl outfit.

Pink Floyd was a rock star group in the 70's and 80's.
I would be a great name for a clematis, double pink with a hint of magenta.

Maybe a guy named Pink Floyd wearing Johin??

The endless snow could get me to envision it quite easily.

Uh, oh....cabin fever setting in...I never heard of Pink Floyd, either! I love all the pink flowers today, & that rebel Jen, who posted blue & yellow....that DL seedling is a great pink....I'll try a pink rhodo.....

Thanks, it's a seedling of mine. Like everything else (except the Nova Zembla rhodie & trees & shrubs) it is under the snow. I think the NZ branches are damaged. We bought it knee high about 15+ yrs ago.

Pretty Big Wows on both of those Weigela. I ordered a new one called Weigela bokraspiwi Spilled Wine and am looking at one with pale yellow blooms. I only have a white one so far, which is far too few.

Here is another wall of blooms on Lespedea Gibraltar in mid Sept. I have a pink one too and am adding a white one this spring. Patti

Good to hear you're not competitive, wha. I sometimes wonder why people want every cultivar of so many plants. It's easy to just enjoy what we have.
