Lovely scenes, Debi and Allison - love that phlox! Great mums, ge.
Nice to meet your son, Rosy, and the dahlia is lovely. Those big heads always make the gardener look good (and we are!).
Here's a lily I bought at a garden center with a mum tag!
Garden Photos one per day 2011
Pretty Lilymum!
Good one! It even had the name, Lynn, on it so I bought more for my friend with the same name. It pays to know the foliage and the time of year when plants are sold.
I love clumps and lilies in clumps like yours, Marilyn, are so gorgeous. If you-know-who wasn't watching I'd post a photo of one of my favorite clumps of lilies but it will have to wait for tomorrow, provided I remember.
Here's a very funny video, compliments of ge, regarding memory and age - turn up the volume: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzSaoN2LdfU
nice shots!
yup they do deb - mine have been in ground for only 2 yrs - most were little ones from deer resisant plants - they do have to be trimmed back because of some die back in the spring and then just take off.
Cool, I bought some last fall at 75% off, $2.50 a plant, gallon size.
I cant wait for Gromore to open.
I just came from Lowes, mostly house plants.Burpee Seed Kyosks are up.
I've been in bed, watching dvds for 3 days, looking at bluestone, wondering what GroMoore will have
Couldn't enjoy the video, Pirl, because I have no speakers on my computer....thanks to son & DIL who told me I didn't need them....ha! Victor, love, love the Dutchess! And I forgive all who posted white flowers today!
Deb:
Are you ordering from Bluestone?
Do you know if Gromore alphabetizes their annuals?
Its hard to wander the whole place.
I usually go with a list and ask Bonnie to help me.She knows good alternates if they dont have whats on my list.
Are you sick?
Which dvd's are you watching?
I just put netflix in the mailbox.
"The Big Bang Theory"

We can meet at GroMoore one day and I can do the running around. I usually go as soon as they are open to watch the perennials, not sure about the alphabet for annuals.
I've got something upper respiratory going on, stayed home from work today, 2 meetings and a dr appt this afternoon, so I wouldn't have gotten much accomplished anyway.
I'm just watching romantic comedies, Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston
I might place a bluestone order, are you?
Wha, nice to imagine that shot as a sea of blue in the late summer.
I just ordered more plants from Deer Resistant Landscape including a couple more caryopteris including
Caryopteris Blue Myth and Caryopteris x Sterling Silver or Lissilv . I loved what he sent me last fall.
I was thrilled last year with a Caryopteris that I bought from Avant last spring called Caryopteris clandonensis 'White Surprise'. Nice to have some later blooming blues. They have a early buy discount going on until Jan 31. and have 4 good ones listed. This shot was taken on Sept 16.
Victor, I adore that shot of Clematis Duchess of Edinburgh, mine is still not yet of blooming size or I've killed it. Must check on it next spring. I struggle with Clematis or they struggle with me.
flowAjen, And that H. Annabelle has been on my wish list for too long. Tempting me.
Pirl are you playing Name that Mum/Lily game? I would guess it is Lilium Corrida.
debi_k, That is a wonderful shot with some brilliant combination's going on in it. Hope you feel better soon
Patti

I'm thinking of amsonia and veronica from bluestone, the 15% off ends tomorrow
The smell is another reason to go to GroMoore early and often!
Thanks!
Patti - I wasn't looking for a name but thanks for the ID.
Wet potting soil - nothing like it.
nice white surprise - wonder if that is similar to snow fairy or the var. is reversed.
It's a nice color to have in the fall....the variegation is very pretty.....wish I had a place for it!
Jo Anne, I am actually a total night owl! Last night was particularly late, unfortunately. I would love to be an early bird.
Those blues are beautiful, and the lily and the hydrangea...great pictures all around :)

Yep!!!! you id'd mine last year.
I love it! It grew about 4 and half feet to 5 last summer.
I'd call it "Pretty in Pink" because it is!
Is it Clementine red? even tho its pink. As we know plants dont always flower as pictured in the catalogue.
great color
Looks like an exotic costume.
Better than a fig leaf??
