Debra, is'nt it amazing how those dogs always know when we are sick and let us know they care. Even my DD,s dog stays beside me when i'm sick at their house.Happy for you too.
Gatorade-yuck
Carrie, Can you ask her to stretch your legs everytime she comes.Sounds like it could be important
Am thankful for Geraniums. One of mine has a beautiful bud forming.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Takes a long time, Vickie, but we did mini stretching today.

I am thankful for the Wii game my mother got me for Christmas. I think I was thankful for it before, but I am still thankful. It gets my blood pumping and that's good.

I am thankful for all those brave young men and women who go into our military to protect us. Here is a power point presentation about a Native American honored after his death in 2007 by both Native American and the Marines. I hope this comes through (as I do not understand computers enough to know if it will work or not).

Well that did not work, so I found it on YouTube, let's try that:

I am thankful my sister and her grandchildren are safe this evening.

I am thankful for online linens outlet clearance sales. Not only am I addicted to all-cotton comforter/duvet covers, quilts, and matelasse coverlets, but the prices were so low I also was able to get several items each for the local children's emergency shelter and the women's shelter. It's been coooooolld lately.

Thankful that the Zepherine Drouhin rose delivered today only had a LITTLE black spot and a LOT of healthy-looking new growth.

I am thankful for the power of Karma. What goes around does come around if you can just hang in long enough. :-)

I am thankful to have the DVD of: "Sinbad: Where U Been?"

I am thankful for Chicken Taco Seasoning Mix. (Works really well with ground beef. LOL)

Midland City, AL

I am thankful for those who designed PlantFiles. It is the easiest plant database there is to use. And, of course, to those who contribute comments and zip code reports. ~N~

A computer that can store my thousands of pictures and programs that can make them look like I know what I'm doing.

Debra , I can see there is a story behind your last posts . I'll send a tiny prayer your wayfor karma . Hugs , friend .

(Debra) Garland, TX

Sally, yes, and thank you. :-)

==================================
Today, I am thankful that the Bears did not win. Traffic is bad enough around here normally, with some of the rudest drivers in America (officially, even). Then add a Super Bowl game and things will already be chaos without throwing a presidential motorcade through the middle of it!

Thankful the loaf of sliced French bread I found this afternoon that had been hiding in my freezer for the last 15 months is still good! Goes with the spaghetti sauce that's been simmering on the stove for three hours. Nnnnummmmmyy

Thankful I got outside in the mild air for a bit today before the winds turned and started blowing from the North. Saw that the Tulipa Burgundy are coming up. :-) I am sooooo excited about all the new stuff in the ground for this year.

Spring is on the way...

I am thankful that finaly somebody replied to my request for rabbit manure. This lady from Craiglist said she has a lot of it, she raises rabbits for show. I hated to tell her that we used to raise them but my husband used to put them in the freezer. That is why I stopped naming the little ones. I learned to cook Cajun rabbit, over white rice, it taste like chicken. Also thanks for the advice from Daves growers of using rebbit pellets as firtilizer instead of alfalfa tea, it is a smelly thing. I ordered 3 clematis and I hope to get good at growing them.

Ozone, AR(Zone 6a)

Hugs Debra, Dallas is a an unfriendly place to drive. But ETEX was pretty good.Longview more so than Tyler.Of course i shopped more in Tyler than Longview.Figures huh?
Always do love the surprises that comes from the bottom of my freezer.

I am glad to be able to provide this service and make a living at itit. Hi Digger, I just picked up about 150 lb of rabbit manure from this lady. Very nice young woman, but she is going for a long vacation, maybe 2 months. Her friend in Appling Ga, has also rabbits and 3 horses, will call me end of this week to see if I can pick up some from here. I will ask her if I can pass her nama and # to anybody, How far is Dahlonega? Also if you did't know, we have a place called Bricko Farms, they use cricket castings, and have lot of mixes, one is compost toast, that you mix in with soil. Some stuff they deliver by truck load, you can pick up with truck, also some are bagged. Last Summer when I went to see some of they products , I aseked them how can you work in this smell, He said what smell, it smells like moneny to me. Brickos # is 706-722-0661.

Dahlonega, GA

Dahlonega is 60 miles N of Atlanta. The ones I saw were way south of Atlanta .
I know what the man ment about the smell of money . Used to pass a cattle feeder farm on the way to my brothers . His wife would drive around to Buffalo Gap to go home from Abilene Tex to their home on San Angelo highway .

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

kiseta, we were in Atlanta over the weekend! I know it's not Augusta but it's hundreds of miles closer than I usually am! Nadine, Dave set up Plant Files, and it is indeed something to be thankful for!

Midland City, AL

"Mannix", now that is one I haven't thought of in a long time. What channel carried that? Or, did you find it on NetFlicks? I noticed they've started carrying some of the old TV shows.
I just finished a book by Orson Scott Card. Working on one by Ben Bova now. I'm thankful DW got me reading SF and I'm thankful for audio books because I can "read" while doing other things.
If we had known you were coming south, Carrie, we would have arranged warmer weather for you. :-) (Jim)

(Debra) Garland, TX

I think the show used to air on CBS. PBS had a Pioneers of Television episode this week on Science Fiction shows. Thinking about the Uhura role for Nichelle Nichols somehow got me to thinking about Mannix and Peggy. Weird, huh.

No Central, AZ(Zone 7b)

That looks like the carnival dishware they put in detergent boxes in what, the 30's? that has since become collectable. I have some my grandmother gave me.

(Debra) Garland, TX

Specifically, Pasabahce glassware. Found a single short drinking glass at a thrift store about 15 years ago, liked that pattern, and it has been my favorite glass since. Just this one glass, but I don't need more than one. :-)
============================================
Today I am thankful for:

Hot dogs (It's late for me, I'm hungry, and tired. LOL)

My friend Shelley's survival of the Northern New Jersey winter. She said they got another 10 inches of snow overnight. God Bless Texas! :-D

Lawrence Welk and those champagne bubbles. He was on every Saturday night at Aunt Helen's house. Steel bristle curlers on her greying head, a lit cigarette in the bean bag ashtray on the TV tray next to her, Pete the cockatiel over her shoulder, and Uncle Augie getting up from the recliner to go out to the breezeway and listen to the ball game. My young heart was forever hers because she kept Fudgsicles in the freezer just for us kids.

We're getting another blizzard this week. The snow plows (and by now every truck, ATV, anything that can be hooked up to a plow is called a snow plow) are getting to be really pushy drivers - they ALWAYS have right-of-way.

I am thankful we have so many folks willing to work the extra hours.
