Hackster, the only things on the platform feeder is bread and Sunflower Seeds, I put a few on there and a few on the ground, mind you, unless the birds are quick, the squirrels get the ones on the ground. Where can you get the feeders that you put whole peanuts in, and are they expensive. I might be able to get better shots of the peanut eating birds if they had to work a little bit harder to get the food. As it is now, they get the peanuts(when we get them) and fly. The male Cardinal has been staying longer and longer, I know I got a lot of shots of him, but he is so pretty I just have to share them with you.
Daily Bird Pics Vol. 370
Lily, love your little House Finch. I have lots here too, including my orange-variant. Have you seen any of them yet?
Granny, I'm with you, I'm ready for spring!
Teddy, looks like your little red bird is staking out his territory.
Burd, that red-tailed is gorgeous. Great photos!!
Hack, great shots. That nuthatch is a cutie and nice job with the head shot.
Lily, what a beautiful pair that warbler and wp make. Love the "missus" too.
Here's a photo of my orange-variant House Finch. Wonder why he isn't getting any redder since there are so many berries here?
I sure hope he is. That would not make me upset in the least. He is beautiful.
What a varied assortment of birds, and great pics all around. I did get some shots of the Buntings, and even a Bald Eagle flying over yesterday, but I had the camera set wrong and since all the pics needed cropping, I could not use any of them. They would have been too grainy. It will be chilly tomorrow, but maybe I'll get out for a while.
I hope he has a mate, I would love to get a picture of either one or maybe if I am lucky the both of them.

Keep looking she'll turn up.

Great selection of birds along with some excellent photos. I am not seeing many bird species in my area. Plus, it is way too cold ..... for me. Wind chill at 7 a.m. is supposed to be 7 degrees. Brrrr !!!
