I like the framing of the Chipping Sparrow.
Daily piccies vol 366
You are right, they are flitting around here with Chickadees, they love landing for just a sec or two and then they are gone, but they don't stay gone for long. By the way, is Starlings mean to other birds? I didn't see any indications that they were scaring the other birds. They were all eating together, and the Starling is pretty with the sun shining on his back, he was almost shining. The sun hits him just right and he is almost incandescent with his coloring. I think that is the first time I have seen them here, I put him down as a lifer because that was the first picture I have taken of him. Is that the way you said it was done? When you take a picture that is a lifer?
love all the pics! Burd... I am a photographer & am curious when you mentioned 1/2000.... I've never heard of that..but then again I am a "die hard" film person so you probably have a digital camera...right??
I would have to put mine on a tripod then "push" the film to a higher speed for that to happen.
A great idea though with the fill in flash!!
Cute one of the Titmouse Hack!
In a little while:

cindylove, 1/2000 of a second for shutter speed the photos on this thread were 1/200 of a sec. I had to sync..the flash with the camera. Still experimenting however...and yes just about everyone here uses digital now. If film was all there was...I would have another hobby...film is too expensive. lol
And... For me , at least, film development takes far too long. I gave up film in the '80's when I got tired of waiting a week to get the prints or slides back and having to pay for throw away's. Now I have a delete button.
And we used to think ASA 400 was fast film. Now they make cameras with ISO settings above 10,000.
But best of all, there's nothing like posting a picture here less than 5 minutes after you shoot it.
At my age it's all about instant gratification.

Just sitting here playing around, waiting for this thread to hit 135.
I had two bluebirds perched close together yesterday and I was determined to get both of them in focus, so I spun the f stop to f/32, which brought the shutter speed down to 1/100. Well, they sat still and they are almost in focus but in the bargain I have a very distacting background. Like so:
Thanks Burd. Let's tie a knot in this one and start a new thread. Then I'll be back with a link once it is set up.
