Let's continue with coping with winter as it officially starts tomorrow and we have a loooong way to go. :(

Hope you feel better soon Sherrie! It's def going around, Brian & Justin had it. Oryanna & Bella got it and passed it on to their very pregnant Mom. I had a fever Sunday/night and have been stuffed up and coughing ever since.....tis the season! LOL

2 weeks, at 1st it came and went and then Wham. Thursday/Friday until now, I went down for 4 days of torture. Black and blue on my chest and now the pain has moved under the rib cage. I must of pulled muscles/ligaments - I think now its pluracy. I hurt and is a tad weak but functioning!

Its been 7-8 years since I have been knocked down by a cold/flu. I hardley remember 1-2 days.

I wish this on no one, except my enemies.

I hope you get better too Celeste. Like you, a simple cold is a normal day. When I get knocked down and dont have control - I dont like it.

Cherry nyquil, cherry cough syrup, cherry cough drops, cherry alaseltzer cold plus and cherry chap stick for my suffering nose.

Oh my, I do hope you guys are feeling better soon. Got my flu shot last week and my Mom got hers just before T-Day. Hope it works. Nothing worse than feeling sick and out of it this time of year, feel better. Maybe some nice chicken soup will do it.

My DIL was sick Sunday....she brought the lasagna we all ate!... ..she said my son made most of it....I hope....she spent the day wrapped in a throw, sleeping on the sofa, not like her...something is going around....hope today finds you both better, Sherrie & Pixie!

Louise - Me will be fine. The pain, sniffy nose and heaving coughing chest is going away. Sherrie's on the mend.

I made the decision 8 hours ago to do the 3 day ordeal. Stuffed shells for Jims kids and Jim for Christmas.

looks great - after opening gifts and french toast for breakfast i spent the rest of the day outside lugging rocks across the pond from the woods - great day!! - will do the same tomorrow as we are supposed to get whacked with over a foot of snow sunday night/monday.

We havent had over an inch yet but are going to get some. Not no foot though.

Bill - that snow would help you get those rocks over the pond if you can find a toboggan.....Hank and I would wait for the snow and then put the rocks on a toboggan and it was easy as pie to get them across the pond and through the woods. Can you get your hands on one?

Sounds a little bit easier with a tabagoon.....who lugs rocks on Christmas??!!

On the first thread I started I had gone to one of my favorite greenhouses for their Pointsetta Festival and went a little nuts with pictures.....well it paid off!
For Christmas I got $125.00 gift certifcate for that GH, and im making a list (checking it twice:) for a very special trip!! ^_^
Got G.C. for Home depot, Agway, and Faraway Flowers too! (Ge...i'll let ya know what i pick from Faraway)

What did you get if you don't mind sharing... anybody else get plants? G.C. for nursery's?

I didnt get any GC's no one knows where I order from. I sometimes get GC for White Flower Farm because thats easy for non gardeners to remember.
I only order bulbs from them because their plants are so awful.
I gave the family motion sencor garage Coach lights.
DD gave the family a new flat screen TV for her livingroom where the fireplace is. So I will use it more than anyone,I got to open it .
I also got a Chiapet. Thats as close to gardening a present I got.
We dont go nuts here. I have 4 daughters, none are able to buy gifts for everyone so we have a family Secret Santa draw at Thanksgiving.
We open those before noon meal and then play Scrabble all day.

Flat screen T.V. your going to love watching your old flicks. Brian and I watch the classics on ours(Christmas gift to each other last year) and we love it!

I was pretty excited about the GC for Faraway Flowers, Ramona is so nice and give big bulbs!

I think she has some od Buggy Crazies bulbs.
The real treat about the FS TV is the TV that was in there hardly worked.
My area is colder than the rest of the house I really dont like to be inthere on cloudy days. It also has windows to the floor so when the sun shines in it casts a glare from the wood floor to the TV. I cant watch on certain days and at certain times.
I love the Disc feature on the FSTV. I will be able to watch something decent.
Its amazing how reasonable those are now.
