LOL! Another good one! Glad you found it. Wonderful shot of two beautiful birds!

I sure hope this thread stays alive. It's really quite amusing. Here is one of a squirrel and I believe he is thinking "ahhh, relief. It was 94 degrees when I grabbed this shot.

That singing hawk is so funny! You can put some Christmas* song lyrics on that one and send it out for a Christmas* card.
*Or, to be PC, the holiday of your choice...

Sort of like this one I did a while back.

Added a hat and some snow along with the lyrics.

P_Edens, is that what's called photoshopped? :) Cute one.

Great captions Patti, that would make an attractive greeting card for the season.

mns, Oh yeah, I did some serious pixel torturing on that one. ^_^ ^_^ Other than boosting the saturation though, I didn't do anything to the bird itself - just added all the other stuff. I took the photo in south Texas in July, so the poor bird just had his mouth wide open to cool off. A lot of the birds looked just like that. It was 3 digit hot out there.

Lily, Thanks. I did use it as a greeting card a few years ago. Every year I try to think of something new. No ideas yet this year. Down to the wire.

Reluctantly, this past summer I escorted my wife to a wedding 250 miles away. I insisted that the next day we go to a place another 40 miles north that might possibly have a Great Gray Owl. I was so glad I attended that wedding.

P_Edens told me about this thread. These are all so funny.

I've never added a bubble to my photos, so I used the first tutorial I found and fiddled a bit. This is a Northern Shrike.

Well, I like that picture. I can tell what kind of bird it is, so that's a plus in my book! I think the reference is to Casablanca? But I haven't seen the movie, so ?? Was Bogart eating sunflower seeds in the movie? LOL

LOL!! Margaret, that's so funny. I've never seen ducks like that. I looked them up and found Pink-eared Duck? Is that right?

Ladi_Burd, That's a good one! Poor ducks. Good thing they wear down jackets. ^_^
