Beautiful background!
Let's start a titmouse thread
Last ones so nice Dave!
"75 frames later" - LOL. Beautiful shots, Dave.
LOL Lily! He is posing nicely with his peanut. These little guys are adorable.
Nice pics GG and Lily!! They are such great little birds!
Thanks Pelle. They sure are busy little birds.
Very sweet pic Julie!
all my birdies are somewhere else!! All I'm getting are Grackels, RW blackbirds & Mournring Doves!!!!! I hear them but they aren't at my feeders!!! :0(
Tomorrow will mark the end of my third year on DG. I have decided not to renew my subscription. As some may recall, I have had consistent problems posting images, even when I resize them. Some days the server will not accept any of my posts with images attached during the entire day. I have found this very frustrating, especially after paying for the priviledge. I participate in several other forums -- most of which do not charge anything. I have never had a post rejected at any of those forums.
I have enjoyed the past 3 years, and have learned a lot about birding here. I will miss all of you. I wish you all the very best.
So sorry to hear that Dave. Though you can still stop by as an unpaid subscriber. I am truly perplexed at your upload issues since I have none of those here.
Take care!
Dave, I am SO SORRY to hear your leaving. I can FULLY UNDERSTAND your frustration. You will be terribly missed. Love, Pelle
I too will miss you badly. Best wishes to you and yours Dave.
Kim

Some of the DG forums are open to all, you can still post on without being a paid-up member, not sure if this is one or not, but try and see

Yes, some forums are open to all. But, non-subcription members can only view, but not able to post. This forum can be viewed by the public, Resin. But in order to respond to a post, or communicate with other members, one has to have membership.
Dave, I know one thing for certain, I'll miss you when I see my lovely Blue Birds, and any time I get a chance to see my daughter's cat, I'll think of 'Buster'.
Kim
Oh No...say it isn't so!! I will miss you and your Blues more than words can say. It was because of your beautiful images that I got so hooked on Bluebirds and have gone broke buying mealies to feed them! You will be missed by all of us....I am sad. :o(
Lily, that's not quiet true, you have to be signed in, but you can still post to this forum. I was that way for almost a year!
Well, It isn't the $$ as much as it is the frustration. Each time it happens I swear -- that's it!. And for some reason this past week it has happened almost every day.
But if I am going to be missed, I guess I can just suffer through the frustration and renew the subscription.
I do appreciate the kind things that you all have said. Believe me, the feeling is mutual.
Dave
Odd, I've never had any problems posting pics here (well, once or twice the entire site has been down, but that's different!), even with large pics (2 or 3 megabytes even). I'll try adding a big pic right now . . .
Have you tried contacting the DG troubleshooting team? It might be some local server incompatibility that they might be able to solve?
Resin
. . . yep, 5½ megabytes (before DG's software auto-resized it), clear across the Atlantic no problem!
Fieldfare, if anyone's wondering
Resin
Thanks Resin, that's lovely! Please Dave, I'll walk an extra mile next time I go to Gym if you should decide to stay. Please. It's so difficult to say goodbye.
Resin is that Winterberry or ilex verticillata? So pretty a berry.

No, I haven't, but I will. I guess I shouldn't expect them to be mind readers. I just couldn't believe I was the only one.
Dave
Dave, I'm so glad to hear your staying and I hope the tech team can clear things up once and for all.

Himalayan Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster frigidus). Not sure it would grow well in AL, it might be very susceptible to fireblight (not a problem in the cool summers here!).
[quote="2dCousinDave"]No, I haven't, but I will. I guess I shouldn't expect them to be mind readers. I just couldn't believe I was the only one.
Dave
Good luck with it!
Resin
Great news Dave...so glad you are staying!!
Yay Dave!
Whew!
Dave, your contributions to this forum are invaluable. I'm glad to hear you're staying. I am relieved. Knowing you have a legal background, I'm certain you are aware of the term "class action". I was considering putting together a class action on behalf of all bird enthusiasts on this forum. Upon hearing of your departure, many voiced experiencing numerous symptoms that could lead to heartbreak, sleeplessness, undue stress, incompatibility, headaches, etc., etc. I'm sure you get the idea ..... seems like a one year subscription to Dave's Garden is the easiest way to resolve this matter. :-)
Dave, there has to be an answer to your frustration, which I understand. Like others, I have never had a problem of that magnitude. Hopefully, you can narrow down the possible cause(s) in your discussion with administration.
LOL Linth.
Way to go Dave, glad you are staying with us.
