Linth, thanks for taking all the wonderful Bald Eagle, photos and sharing them with us. There are quite a few in this area. Hunting in Okanogan river or cleaning up carrion.

Bald Eagle - Our National Symbol - Vol. #7
That is neat!
I'm trying to not duplicate any but one or two might slip through on occasion. Here's an adult against the blue sky.
I'm hoping to get back tomorrow morning but have the start of a sore throat. It's supposed to be clear with a temperature of 29 degrees ...... 20 wind-chill (12mph wind). I'll just dress like Gary does in Alaska. I'll have my hand-warmers and toe-warmers.
Linth, fabulous thread! You know where I'd be spending my time this winter. I'll be all bundled up; and watching your marvelous threads on these magestic birds!
Amazing shots as always. As much as I would love to see so many Bald Eagles, I don't think I could stand being out in the cold to do it.
Wonderful and clear photos Linth. I can't believe it's so cold there and you'd risk going out in it-take care. We want you healthy so we can see lots more photos.
Thanks. I did get back yesterday, arriving at 7:30 a.m. and stayed for six hours. Activity was sporadic. Because of heavy rains up north in Pennsylvania, the dam was pushing a lot of water through. I have never seen the water as high while I have been at the dam. The rocks across the river where the eagles usually sit could not be seen. So it forced the eagles to go elsewhere. I spent most of the day chatting with a couple from Ohio who drove 7 hours to visit Conowingo. Burd, we talked about McGee Marsh and Ottawa National wildlife Refuge and YOUR warblers.
Here is a photo from last week. The eagles are sitting on the rocks across the river. The photo has 7 Bald Eagles and 2 Great Blue Herons.
Wonderful shots Linth! I see 3 Great Blue Herons in that one shot.
I love that picture with the Eagles and Herons on the rocks.
What fabuluous pictures! Thanks Linth for sharing those with all of us.
All so great Linth.
Your eagles sure know how to pose in your pics. Most enjoyable.
Thank you all ......
missysrose, seeing that you live in Loch Haven, PA brings back a lot of fond memories. And, it's ironic that Loch Haven University's mascot is the Bald Eagle. If I might get off the subject a bit, I traveled many times through Loch Haven via Williamsport & Jersey Shore toward Renovo and onward to Wharton, in Potter County. I belonged to a hunting camp just south of Wharton for nearly 50 years. You live in beautiful country. I would assume an occasional Golden or Bald Eagle wanders along the Susquehanna River near Loch Haven.
I'll keep posting a few photos each day or two until I have exhausted them or you all tell me to stop. This is a photo of an adult Bald Eagle taken a month ago. Nothing beats a blue sky and excellent lighting.
