Is it possible to soak seeds too long?

I got some (Butia capitata) Jelly bean palm fruits yesterday, ate most of the fruit, but the seeds still have some flesh attached to them, so I'm soaking them in water to see if that helps rot away the rest of the flesh.

should have allowed them to dry, won't hurt the seeds, u can soak too long, better after drying out period to plant and mist
