The tree cutting and bringing into the house is the DD,SIL and GD. Its their family thing so I just utt out, bfind fault with it every year and keep my lip zipped.
When the lights are on and its decorated and presents are under. I will forget the kack job someone did on it while it was growing.
What and When Holiday Decor
My dinner was very nice....35 women, so it was crowded, but a happy, noisy gathering....grab bag gift was dishtowels....I was hoping for chocolate! Here's my tree....no pointy top, but I have birds nesting up there.
Our tree is up and lighted. I'' be with balls for awhile then take a pic and get back to you.
Nice tree Marilyn.so many sentimental things on it.
Yes, Jo...all of the ornaments (except the glass balls) have memories attached to them.
Looks super...my lights didn't come out in the photo....guess I needed to do something special....I have some wooden ornaments my stepdaughter brought back from Thailand....I think....she's been so many places, I just can't remember.....
Marilyn and JoAnn - both very pretty trees! The best part of a Christmas tree is the memories reflected in the ornaments! Right now we have a nice fire in the fireplace with the tree just to the left of it......very warm and Christmasy tonight.
Nice tree Bill.I love the Santa ladder.
all 3 tress are very nice.... Bill I love your skirt!!!
Look at all the pretty tree's! Lovely!!! I need to get mine.
Very nice, Bill. I will buy mine today.
Very pretty, Bill. The Santa ladder is awesome! It is so much fun to visit everyone's house to see the trees.
Was that Cindy's wine and remote?????? lol
was wondering when someone would notice louise:) my wine and i just had claimed control of the remote.
Frasier, Bill?
i think it is a balsam
Trees are always at their best with lights. No tree here as yet--too busy with the post office.
Concolor, Jen?
Wow nice trees everyone. I love looking at all the different ornaments! Now I'm really not liking my itty bitty tree...I get some pics later.
Very nice, Bill & Jen....long needles on that tree, Jen.....pine? I called mine a spruce, but my son said it's a fir...oh, well! Louise, we all needed a fire last night....haven't had the chimney cleaned recently, so I'm not going to light a fire until I do.
fake
Nice Jen!
Guy did not have much selection. I'll go back tomorrow after the new delivery.
Just got back from shopping had to finish up stocking stuffers. I only have 1 thing left to get but now I have to find it...was having a dilemma on what I wanted to get my oldest bro. It hit me today...anyone heard of?????.....
http://www.halvah.biz/
My parents used to buy this as a treat about once a month....haven't had it in years....
Mmmmm....sounds good.....never had it. Your fake tree is very real looking!
That's why we originally bought it, it's 20yrs old already.
Yes - my dad used to get it. Loved it!
Very pretty, Jen! I see you got through decorating YOUR tree without having to fall into a glass of wine and grab the remote!! LOL LOL LOL!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Jen my mom used to buy us Halvah as kids too.... but made it seem like it was a fancy treat... only a once in a while thing... and I love the tree
Louise, put down that glass of wine! Oh, well, it's cold in FL....you probably need it!
Heat it up.
Now there's a thought.....saw Rachel Ray the other night...she heated up cider, cran. juice, frozen cranberries, cin. sticks, orange peel & cloves.....making that for my Friday luncheon.
She heats up a lot of things!
I can tell that I am elderly (prefer that to old) as I have no idea who Rachel Ray is.
Got the tree - a Frasier. Will begin decorating tomorrow.
Rachael Ray has a cooking show.
"30 Minute Meals"
She's cute and perkie.
They fail to mention the ingredients are expensive.
And best of all - she's Italian!
I guess that counts for someting
