Morning Moon.
Morning Jim , and Kassy.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning Gypsies!!

Heard the Fire crackling, thought I'd stop in for a warm up...rainy and slightly chilly.
..sigh, just closed my pit up for winter.

Kassey, wow your grandaughter is just a beautiful baby!
How's the weather in the Northwoods? For first time in about 10 years we are staying here. Opposed to heading home to the Rez.
Which also means, we will purchase a Tree from here somewhere.

Hi Jim, very nice crop you had come in.

JJ...How are you doing over yonder in Il.? How about this weather, nice surprise for Nov!

Waiving big Moonie!! Think of you every time I see a the moon, especially when it comes right over my house! Have you caught it the last couple of night, just spectacular...Love the photo of your two lil guys.

Well, I sure hope you all are doing well.

I have had a busy, busy summer and finally got to working the gardens! Alas my jungles have been tamed.
While not working in the garden, been busy sewing and doing swaps! Whew, have a couple left....LOL, then like I didn't have enough to do decided to Paint my kitchen, lol still working on that...Now, today will at least try to get some painting in, but have to stop to go to Addison to enroll my Julia into Devry University...

So...I know you've seen pics of the before, Here is one as jungles are now until Spring! You see, I still have a ton of work to do.
Once upon a time ago, I had a dream for this yard...tragedy happened and That dream just plain stopped. Well all of the sudden just recently My Moon Vision returned!! And so hopefully Next season, I will have a beautiful garden..Will dream all winter!

To give it a tiny start...I've planted 1 Indian Chief Iris, 2 Hosta(forgot the name) 5 Guachamole, Day Lily a friend gave to me, Forget what it's called but it should bloom almost a peachie color. In the small section that you can't really see, I have 3 Yukka, that I transplanted...I hope it blooms next season, it's been dornment for about 5 years in a too shady area, Also in that same little section is 3 ???lol all the sudden my brain went dead! and a few other smallish plants that I cannot remember the names of, they were gifts from sistah Joyce in OH, from the Gathering....

Anyways, I have lurked hear and there, sorry to disappear again, but if you notice, I get way side tracked and all else gets put on hold.
I watch a ton of threads and oh my sometime overwhelmed. But, i do think of you all all the time, and now my season over , hope to come and play more often.

Waiving hi to everyone!
Love Seed!

Good morning everyone!

Seeds, it's so nice of you to pop in! We think of you often, too. Your garden will be beautiful! If you need any additions, just let us know. We love to share!

Thanks for the new thread Moon. And the campfire & marshmallows!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi JJ, Hi Smiley....figured we needed some new stomping ground....grin.

Hallo-oooo Seed. So good to see you. You have been such a busy little bee...grin. We have missed you around the campfire, but can see what has been keeping you away. Gonna be too fine in the Spring. Pop in any time...always good to see ya.And I second Smiley's offer....grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi Seeds good to see you. My you have been busy!

Delhi, LA

Good evening everyone. Good to see all are up and kicking.

It doesn't seem much like winter here. It has been in the mid 80's the past couple of days. It's coming though.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My goodness Jim. You are up late. Any more word on your daughter's move? I know you and Jo are counting the days.

Delhi, LA

Looks like the first of February. Looking forward to it. Couldn't sleep last night. Had a special night at the church last night. Turns out it was to honor us. Took up a collection to buy us a new car. Still seems unreal. Our old Nissan has 250,000 miles on it.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

How lovely. I know you and Jo both have full hearts right now.You have a good congregation Jim. Really kind folks.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

.. and what goes around, comes around.

I can't say I know you Jim, but from what you've posted, I can tell you and Jo are good, kind people.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I will certainly second that Smiley.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I agree.....

Delhi, LA

Thanks to each of you. We were certainly humbled by them having a special service just for us but to take a collection to buy us a car seems unreal even yet. There were people there from all three of the churches I've pastored plus many folks that were never a part of our congregation. We never know whose life we are touching so we need to make sure we are impacting people in the right way.

Going car shopping tomorrow. First time I've ever gone with enough money in my pocket to pay cash.

Just to show you what kind of people we have, the next night we had a benefit for a man diagonosesd with Lou Gerich's disease. We raised $21,000 dollars for his family.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

All I can say, from the bottom of my heart, is Bless you guys. My DD has a friend who's dad passed away 2 years ago with ALS, I'm sure that family appreciates the generosity of your community.

Oh how fun! To shop for a car with cash!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sounds like that congregation emulates their pastor. They made a good choice and both you and the congregation are blessed.

Whoo! What are you going to drive Jim?

Delhi, LA

Another Nissan. Like the 250,000 trouble free miles I got on the last one.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I think that had something to do with the person taking care of it. Hope you find one you really like.

Delhi, LA

Got my daughters neighbor that bought the last one looking. Trying to work a deal on a 2010 Altima with 20,000 miles on it. Waiting for his boss to get back home so we can close the deal.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

According to my son who works as an auto mechanic....the closer to the end of the month, the better the deal....gotta push and wheel and deal for that commission, ya know.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

My you are up late these days Jim. Good luck on getting a great deal.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Just wanted to pop in and wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all have a blessed day with friends and family.

Delhi, LA

Happy Thanksgiving, gang.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
Enjoy the day of food, family and friends.
Then Friday shop till ya drop. LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey Jim!! Did ya get your new car yet?? Hope all is well with you and Jo. Happy Thanksgiving to ya both.

Delhi, LA

Haven't got the car yet. I decided it would be better to let my daughters next door neighbor find me one. He's been in the car business all his life and will find me a good one for the money I have.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That sounds like a plan. Never hurts to get expert advice.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

My brother worked with cars on & off all his life. Sales, mechanics, whatever. I wouldn't dream of buying a car without him looking at it, they know how to look for things we would never dream of looking at.

Delhi, LA

That's the way I am Smiley. It doesn't bother me a bit to let someone else buy me a car. I am about as ignorant when it comes to cars as I am about this computer. Got a gardening question, I'm your man.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Happy Belated Thankgiving to everyone!

Hi Seed, thanks for the comments on the little one. She looks like her dad, my son. The daycare was trying to figure out who she looked like, until they met her dad and then they knew. My son's response to that is, he feels sorry for her then when it comes to a prom date..........LOL
Weather is actually not bad up here Seed. We had a little snow fall one night recently, and then it warmed up during the night and rained all night. Snow is gone again. It's actually 44 degrees out right now, and that's pretty warm for this area at this time of year. I can deal with this. :)
Can't wait to see a picture of your yard next year.

Hey Jim, I usually let my mechanic who I trust totally, look over any car before I buy it.
When it comes to computers, I just have my son build them for me. He has a degree in computer networking, so he knows a little bit about them. I'm sure glad he does.
Did I ever tell you about the time my hard drive blew up on mine? Happened in the morning. I left him a note about it and went to bed because I had to work that night. When I got up that night to get ready for work, my computer was up and running again. :)
Now that I'm living farther away, he has my computer set up so he can access it from his computer..... just in case he has to go into it and check anything on it for me.

JJ, if I'm was going to do black Friday it would be on line............LOL That was one of our coldest nights up here. Wouldn't even want to think about standing outside in that for the sales.

JJ, I remember that you wanted my easy fudge recipe. It's really easy. I'll post it on here in case anyone else wants it.
I found a new recipe for candy I want to try this year. Peanut butter and chocolate together. BF's daughter loves peanut butter and chocolate.
Her favorite cake was yellow with chocolate frosting, until I made one called Peanut butter Tandy cake. It has peanut butter between the cake and chocolate frosting, and some semi sweet chocolate chips melted in with the frosting. That is now here favorite cake..........LOL

Oh My, kind of looks like it was raining in this picture.

Fudge (easy to make)

1¼ to 1½ pound block of Milk Chocolate
1 can Eagles Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup chopped nuts

Melt chocolate over hot water, not boiling. Pour in condensed milk and nuts. Mix well.
Pour into a buttered 9 X 13 cake pan. Cool and cut into squares. Turn upside down to dry.

This should be a no fail fudge recipe JJ :-)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My goodness is your little one growing by leaps and bounds. She is surely a cutie....maybe she will get all the Fine points of her Daddy's features...looks like it cuz she is so sweet.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Love the cheeks, huh? Hi Kassy, it's good to hear from you.

Delhi, LA

Hi Kassy, good to hear from you. They found me a real neat Buick, one local owner, with 28,000 miles. It is white with a sun roof, leather interior, tan, with the custom bucket seats, all electric windows, doors and seats.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks Kassy, I'll have to give it a try.
That little one sure is getting big....she's such a cutie.
Sounds like they found you a nice one Jim. I was going to ask if it had heated seats, but guess you don't really need them.....

Glenview, IL

MY Gosh, How Precious is She!

Waiving Hi...
Jim, wishing you much success in finding the right vehicle for you, sounds like you have a good handle...yay can't wait to see what you chooose!

Kassy, You have hit the jack pot!! I know, Iam in awe of the weather, hardly believe it's Novembers end! LOL..was 54 here today!
So glad to hear you are well! Are you Hunting this season?
Still remember first pic I seen of you with your buck, heheh with a rack too...I am lucky to catch a fish (caught a tiny perch once) ROFLOL,,,
Anyways, so glad to see you!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving...And Good thoughts and greetings for the upcoming Christmas Season.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice to see Seeds here! Hope all is well.

Jim, that car sounds very luxurious! Find a good leather cleaner to keep it nice & supple, and stay away from Armor All, it has bleach in it. (my 2 cents)

Delhi, LA

I agree with you on the Armor All. The only thing I have found it good for is rubbing on my bald head. Keeps it real shiny.

I'll get the car Thursday week. My son-in-law is driving it down from Ohio. Saves me a 2000 mile round trip. He wants to deer hunt for a few days and then he will fly home. Thankful for crazy hunters.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

How cool, Jim. A new car and a visit. Is this the son-in-law that is moving here?
