Planting Bulbs today—11/7 in Zone 6 (or is it 5A?)

Newburgh, NY

Hi. Is it too late for me to plant my spring blooming/fall planting bulbs now?

The temperature dropped to 33 last night.

I'd base it on zones but arborday.org says zone 6; garden.org says it's 5A.

Thank you so much for help; I have to plant today or next weekend; no time in between and I'm probably pushing it to begin with.

This is the best time to plant bulbs, I just got the rest of mine in yesterday.

I'm a bit more south of you but I've planted bulbs up through the end of Dec. here in NoVa. We planted a huge bed one Christmas Day and it always reminds us every spring of how hard we worked but was worth it. I've heard that as long as the soil isn't frozen hard and you can dig, you can pretty much put in a bulb.

(Zone 7a)

I'm z5 and mine went in yesterday.

I'm still finishing mine here in zone 5, so no, it's not too late. The bigger issue is how cold it is for the person doing the planting!
