Repot or Not?

Bella Vista, AR(Zone 6b)

I need to bring in a dracaena for the winter and it has gotten pretty big. It is doing OK but will need re-potting before it grows anymore.
Question is: Should I bring it in "as is" and re-pot in the spring, or should I repot now?

Calgary, Canada

I would re pot it now as I am bringing it indoors.

I was afraid that the shock of the transplant would either kill it while it is slowing down + adjusting to the new indoor environment, or it might start trying to grow when it should be relatively dormant. Am I wrong?
Seems like it would recover better in the spring. Am I off base here?
haha, watching the world series..."off base" sorry...

Julie,
You are right. Spring is much better time to replant when a plant is actively growing. It will not die from needing a larger pot. A larger pot and new indoor environment could be too much for a plant when it is not in active growth.
