succulent propagation

Edmonton, Canada

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if I am doing this right? These are a few 'hitch-hikers' that were in the soil of succulent plant I recently bought. I have been keeping the soil fairly moist, watering from the bottom. They haven't died, but it has been a couple of weeks. A couple of months ago I did the same thing with a jade 'hitch-hiker' and it started growing within a week. I will post pictures of that one next. Thanks for any advise!

This is when I first found it a couple of months ago and I just placed it on top of sandy soil...watering every 4 or 5 days from the bottom...and the next picture will be from today.

Although it is growing, the new leaves do not seem to be getting very big. I am new to spending a lot of time with succulents, but it has become my recent challange after a few have died on me. I have quite a few but only one that I have had for a couple of years which really is growing nicely. But I want more succulent variety!

I think your doing a great job since they tend to grow slowly to start but by next spring it should really take off ;.)
