I know, can't believe it's Oct 31st without a frost yet
Today's Weather in your Garden - 81
It's 34 now.......going down to 29 tonight :(
Closest we came was 33.4 on the 23rd.
As long as the white stuff doesn't fall from the sky again for a few more weeks...im good.
47°
I'm expecting a couple of more mos here w/o snow, but I'm expecting the freezing rain and 'black ice' within a month.
Trick knee or corn?? ^_^
It hit 61 today it was very windy though.
Low tonight 33, I have to go bring in my stevia plant
37° here at this time. I have nothing to worry about with a frost, but none here as yet.
36 here too...surprised as they said we'd drop into the 20's.
35°, wind N 5mph, Rh 58%, sunny
Predicted high for today is a crisp 49°, with a windchill of 44°.
We hit 32 and are at 33 now. Clear as a bell.
32 here this morning
a little chilly
34°
Past by chilly to down right cold this am. Upper 20s when I looked at thermometer early this morning. Ice on the birdbath. Temp has recovered to 37 degrees now with the sun trying to warm things up. Probably won't get out of the upper 40s for a high today. Wind still coming from the NW but is not as gusty as yesterday yet.
37° earlier this morning. Sunny, but I bet that it won't warm up.
mid 40's here today. It's trying to be sunny and not suceeding.
48°, windchill 40°, clear
First frost last night....very late for me, but I'm not complaining....calling for mid-20s tonight. Spent the afternoon in Lee, MA....low 40s there.
Was in Manhattan today. Was pretty cold! Windy and shady in the streets. Went to the top of the GE bldg and man was it windy up there!
41 now. Going down to 28.
I can imagine, not uncommon to get a 70 mph wind tunnel effect on some of Manhattan's streets.
Going down to 34° here tonight. (reportedly, lol).
Got down to 30. 41 and perfectly clear now. No wind. Saw frost on the roofs for the first time.
Presently 44° with the wind coming from the North at 8mph, a little rise in humidity since yesterday, up to 64% now, sunny, crystal clear blue skies overhead with a few scattered clouds toward the South over the ocean this am. Today's predicted high is 50°.
(39° was our low last night)
Great photo, Pixie! Another frost last night, 36 now. I filled the bird feeder, bears be @*%&@!
Another cold start and pretty cloudy today. Temp is up to 42 degrees now. With the cloud cover not much help from the sun so far. Light easterly wind is what accounts for the clouds I think.
84 degrees and 62% H on my porch right now. Feels nice!
45° right now low was 31°
what is wrapped around your porch?
We had a smidgen of rain here early this morning, and the humidity and warm temps are holding in the 80s until the end of the week. The weekend looks great in the 70s with low humidity!
I use polycarbonate panels.
Would love to have a room that warm for the winter! Louise, your weather sounds perfect....our weekend should be around 48....not great.
How is the subbing going, Marilyn?
Victor, I'd love to have those panels for our back porch. Did you find a company that makes them, or did you have someone just build them for you? Is it hard to find a place to store them in the summer?
Found them online. I had someone install them and had them do it so two of them are removable for the summer. Simply removing from the 1X1 wood strips.
there was some frost on the car windows this am.
Thanks for that info, Victor. I think they would be pretty expensive for 3 sides of a 10 x 20 porch if we want to be able to remove and store all of them during the summer. That's what has kept us from looking into them.
Yes - they're not cheap. I only had one side to deal with.
Nice deal with the polycarbonate, sounds nice, couldn't do it here, but it sounds nice anyway! lol!
34°, wind calm, mostly clear.
-supposedly going to the freezing point (32°), tonight... we'll see.
Weather was gloomy until we came out of the Dr.'s office. I came home to lunch, vote & long nap in the latter part of the afternoon. with lungs cleared out (sort of) I can perhaps at least get inside thing done tomorrow. Watched the Celtics tonight so didn't have to see politics in this state until results were in.Saw the results & didn't have to listen to all the analysis--that part is really boring.
