We have a small stone patio. This summer a beautiful moss has grown between the stones! We really want to keep the moss but grass is starting to come up thru the moss. If we pull the grass, the moss comes with it. Is there a spray that will kill the grass but not the moss?....or....?
How to remove grass growing in my moss?
I heard that if you put the moss right back it should reroot. Haven't tried it myself but maybe someone can verify that.
Our back yard is so shady and full of grubs that it barely lives up to the word “lawn” Instead we have moss all over the yard, especially around the edges. I like the moss but my husband wants badly to have a lawn back there. On one side of the house I have laid some stepping stones and what I have done is scrape it up in the yard and stomp it into the gaps between the pavers. Never any problem growing it there, even when I forgot to water it. Even then it usually pops back to life once it gets water. Here is a site address that has information about different kinds of moss and how to maintain it.
