Hedge apples/Osage Orange/Bodark shrub

Fort Wayne, IN

I have a small yard. I have read that the Bodark tree normally grows quite tall, but can be aggressively pruned 4-6 foot shrub and when planted close-by to others of its type it can become a durable "living fence". Normally I would prefer a low maintenance plant but the tree is reputed to yield excellent firewood, making the effort more appealing. Is this practical for a smaller yard?

No.

Had to look up what a Bodark tree even was...they get HUGE...to keep them trimmed so short would be WAY too much work
