I have started 8 boxes on my 1 acre homestead, and I have been working on them for two days after work. Needlessly said the neighbors wanted to know what I was burying. I told them that I was trying to improve the soil of my yard rather than getting a truckload of soil from somewhere else. My neighbors have slowly come and ask if I would be willing to create a raised bed garden for them, but they would only want me to do the double digging. They wanted to know how much it would cost, but I have no clue what to charge them. It is alot of work, alot tree roots, and very compact soil. I just want to make sure that the price is reasonable for both myself and neighbors? I think they want a 100 square foot raised bed. On a second note, does anyone know where I can purchase a durable U-Bar? Thanks alot everyone

Landscapers in my area charge $25 to $30 an hour for that type of work. You may want to go a little lower since they are friends/neighbors, but try to figure out how many hours it will take and go from there.
Thanks so much for your advice. I did not have any idea of what to charge. That definitely would be worth my time.
