I'm not sure this is the best forum for the question. If there is a better forum please move this post and NOTIFY ME.

Next summer I will be travelling to the Peruvian Amazon to study plants, and want to collect a few specimens to bring back and propagate in the U.S.

Does anyone here have experience collecting plants internationally? How is the procedure? How can I expedite the process to make things go more smoothly when returning to the U.S.?
