Daily Bird Photos VOL 349

I have started putting out shelled peanuts and have attracted half a dozen bluejays. Still looking for a better shot.

One more.

And the bluebirds are constantly keeping an eye on the sky, watching for the hawks.

YAY!!!! Another new bird this week!! Resin was good enough to ID this as a Lincoln's Sparrow for me.

Elphaba, that pic of the head of the Brown Thrasher is fantastic, focus is sharp. AND that Nashville Warbler, that you cropped this a ton looks real good.

Wow, ducbucln, I don't know which of the pix I like the best. All are great. I guess if I HAD to pic one as my favorite, it would be the Nuttall's Woodpecker.

nanny, the fall colors behind the Myrtle Warbler really made the pic. Love it! AND congrats on the Lifer.

This series is going to feature "close-ups". I really like bringing them up and seeing the magnificent detail of a bird's coloration.

I was able the auto focus through the branches to capture this Blue Jay.

Elphaba, I think lots of my White-crowned Sparrows have longer black and white coloring too. The orange beak really sets them off. And, I don't think Mockingbirds are boring at all. Just watch the way they move and dance on the ground. Great shot of your warbler too.

Nanny, great job with your warbler and the fall coloring. Very festive. Congratulations on still another new bird this week! I'm really happy for you.

Dave, what can I say, your photos are so clear and sharp-wow! I may risk my neighbor finding peanut shells in his gutters one more time. I have to see if I can even come close to your pictures. Love that bb too!

Long shot from a few days ago, Id'd as a Yellow-throated Warbler.

Bad shot taken thru the screened porch, but proof of my first Bunting of the Fall....an Indigo.

A few shots from the marsh. I usually do my own thread as I post too many shots for them to flood the daily thread, but I would like to share some of those shots on the daily also.
Rusty Blackbirds have arrived, they will be here for a couple of weeks before moving on.

Nice shots Burn!..sorry I was deep into typing while you were posting I guess lol...Juncos are at the Marsh but haven't tried for shots..they should be showing up in the backyard soon though.

Myrtle Warbler

A Northern Flicker picking out a berry.

This winter Wren was a new bird for me..not a great shot though...I followed him around for an hour...he was in the shade the whole time.

a close-up of a male Downy Woodpecker....also got a shot of a Marsh Wren but it was not very good..but it was new bird No.190.

This Cape May Warbler sat so nice for me but I just couldn't nail it..hand-held though.

Burd, I am holding at 9 species of sparrow too now. And like you I always hope to see a new one. Sparrows, warblers & thrushes are my challenges every year!
