I have started putting out shelled peanuts and have attracted half a dozen bluejays. Still looking for a better shot.
Daily Bird Photos VOL 349
Congratulations nanny!!!!
Great shots guys!
Elphaba, that pic of the head of the Brown Thrasher is fantastic, focus is sharp. AND that Nashville Warbler, that you cropped this a ton looks real good.
Wow, ducbucln, I don't know which of the pix I like the best. All are great. I guess if I HAD to pic one as my favorite, it would be the Nuttall's Woodpecker.
nanny, the fall colors behind the Myrtle Warbler really made the pic. Love it! AND congrats on the Lifer.
2dCousinDave - shelled peanuts, huh. I have some, you reminded me to put them out. Your Blue Jay pix were super sharp.

Elphaba, I think lots of my White-crowned Sparrows have longer black and white coloring too. The orange beak really sets them off. And, I don't think Mockingbirds are boring at all. Just watch the way they move and dance on the ground. Great shot of your warbler too.
Nanny, great job with your warbler and the fall coloring. Very festive. Congratulations on still another new bird this week! I'm really happy for you.
Dave, what can I say, your photos are so clear and sharp-wow! I may risk my neighbor finding peanut shells in his gutters one more time. I have to see if I can even come close to your pictures. Love that bb too!
Geesch, sorry Hack. Before I posted all my comments, I should have checked to see if there were any new ones. You did a great job with all your birds. Great background colors.
You almost hurt my feelings, duc :-)

Nice shots everyone!! Really nice shots Duc!! Don't think the Tanager shot could get any better than that!
Nice shots Elphaba! That boring old Mockingbird is one I still haven't gotten a picture of. lol Did see a pair of them, but they were about 100ft away and I was driving.
Dave, nice shots as usual!! I like the Bluebird on the cattail...nice composition!
Nanny, congrats on the Lincoln Sparrow! I always hope to see a new Sparrow...there are 35 different species in the US...I have 9 on my list.
Hack, nice job on the close-ups!!
GP, nice shots! That single Indigo is a good sign if you're waiting for the other Bunting's to come. Your Buntings are thinking of your backyard right now I,m sure.
A few shots from the marsh. I usually do my own thread as I post too many shots for them to flood the daily thread, but I would like to share some of those shots on the daily also.
Rusty Blackbirds have arrived, they will be here for a couple of weeks before moving on.

Sorry Burn, it took me a minute to get back here, and yes it is a Myrtle Warbler.
Thanks Burd.
