Fertilizer for bad soil

Chipley, FL

Hi all just joined wanted to ask about these two fertilizers I bought I didn't know which would be better so go both and now not sure about either.

I wanted to get organic but its hard to come by around here .
I also was not comfortable with anything that has blood or bone meal in it . I have read to stay away from it.
So I found Neptune's fish fertilizer , Neptune's seaweed ( they were seperate) and Happy Frog bat guano (fox farms).
Anyway like I said I couldn't decide . My soil is not good at all .
I ended up getting the Fish and the bat guano and now I am not sure which to use if either.

Has anyone use either of these?
Would you recommend one over the other?

Any help would be great.
I forgot to add its for winter veggies.

I hope to make my soil better in the future hence joining here.
Thanks

I used the Neptune's Fish Fertilizer this summer on my tomatoes, peppers and eggplants and they loved it. The Bat guano should help your soil as well - I guess it can replace the bone meal since it is phosporus. Both are good products for plants and soil. You could put the Bat guano in the soil before planting and then use the Fish Fertilizer every couple of weeks. Your packages should give you an idea how to use them. You can make a tea using the guano as well for fertilizing.
If you need to amend your soil try to get some compost to add to it. I have found that using straw as a mulch helps to create a nice compost by the next year. As it breaks down it attracts worms.

I rarely use fertilizer because we compost everything and do lasagna gardening. We have 2 methods of composting. I have a big plastic trash can where I cut the bottom and buried in ground so the earthworm can go in. i use this for kitchen scraps and moldy breads from food pantry where i support and volunteer. The compost i get from here is black and loommy sp. We also compost grass clipping and leaves and this goes to the lasagna gardens. All this is hidden at the back of our shed because DH is fanatic as far as the aesthetic view of the backyard. everything has it's own place LOL!!!. Happy gardening!!!! Belle

Add some high quality compost to your soil and that will help, too.
