Can someone tell me what this is? And it wasn't this big when I agreed to adopt it! Now what do I do?

Kwanjin is right. It's what we called a split-leaf philodendron. Had one in front of our house in Florida and it was amazing to watch. I did not know it would grow inside as a houseplant.

I'd say just enjoy it. It looks like it has a perfect home.
