Nanny, looks like your goldfinches are really enjoying the peanuts. Love those waxwings. I've never seen one stop at any of my birdbaths-will have to watch closer.

Elphaba, every year I'm amazed to see photos of the hawks. I just can't imagine seeing that many at one time.

Wow...great shots everyone!!

I couldn't believe what I saw on my walk this morning......a Dark-eyed Junco!!

Then I couldn't believe a Myrtle Warbler came down to the bird bath this afternoon!

But then...Oh my but what should appear before my eyes?????

Wow the pictures you guys get amaze me! Something got into my birdfeeders last night and everything is spilled, lying on the ground or upside down. Raccon I figure but may have been a bear as I have one of them around too.

eeek at the idea of a bear! But raccons have torn up a lot of stuff here at my house!

The Myrtle Warblers are all over right now. Here is another one in the tree.

Thanks guys! I have had a splendid couple of days here right in my own yard & neighborhood. It has been some much need relieve from stress right now.

I won't have time for much today. I am going to a school progam of Tori's so I will be gone at prim time here in the backyard, which is 2-4 pm. I am going for my morning walk tho here after I post.

Poor Rose.....I really miss seing what is going on at the farm!! I do hope she gets the Mac if it will solve her problems. lol

The Northern Flickers seem to be everywhere here now.

This Lesser Goldfinch was enjoying the bath.

I thought this was cute of the Anna's Hummingbird and goldfinch looking at each other.

As I was photographing the birds in the birdbath, this Spotted Towhee arrived and waited for a turn-after I backed up some. They're pretty shy.

Another Myrtle Wabler...this one was seen while on my walk.

The Carolina Wren has been here the last 3 mornings. It is up in the tree singing when I go out to hang the suet feeder. I love hearing them first thing!

From today...I think this is a Hermit Thrush......which would not be a nw bird for me. Wish I saw them more often.

I've been seeing this Ruffed Grouse hanging around the house for some time. This morning I finally got a pic. Sorry about the grain, but I had to use 3200 ISO because of poor light.

Laughing Kookaburra always make me smile, because of it's name, and how he seem so out of proportion with it's big bill and head to it's small body. Great shot of it and the Wattlebird.

On the 30th of Sept, I got this Yellow- rumped Warbler in my crabapple tree.

Same bird without all the leaves and branch in the way.

The Purple finch was here today after a brief absent.

I just refilled the suet feeder, first up on it was the Grackle.

I have been busy doing other stuff.

Interesting ruffed grouse. I have heard them drumming while camping (sounds like someone bouncing a basketball) but I never saw one.
