I'm starting a new thread a little early since I will be going out. Lots of nice photos on the previous thread so if you have missed any, please take a peek.

I'll start off the new thread with a photo of a 'Belted Kingfisher'. I generally hear them well before I see them and it's difficult (for me) to get real close to them.
Daily Bird Pics, Vol. 348
Thank you Linth for such a beautiful start on the new thread! Great capture of the Belted Kingfisher. I most often discovered one as it flew off from a distance, so catching one sitting still is a treat! I'd be so very happy to see those grosbeaks as well, I was fortunate to have seen the male grosbeak year before last, (just that once) and I was so thrilled. Hack, I noticed you've several GBs from the last thread, and I was envious. Back to Linth. Your "mad" Blue-Gray natcatcher is a cuties even when it's MAD. lol.
I haven't been taken alot of birds pics. However, this morning with the nice morning breez, I went outdoor and was greeted by this noisy, but lovingly busy-working pair Redheaded WPs.
Beautiful pics Linth! Thanks for starting the new thread!
Nice one of your Red-heads Lily!
Oh wow...what a start Linth!! I just love the Kingfisher and your 'mad' Gnatcatcher is really neat! You capture the color beautifully!
Well it is time to go thru the photos from the last week. What I really like about this time of year is that I find lots of the birds feeding naturally. Found this shot of a Tufted Titmouse.....
Great start to the new thread Linth!! Great shots of the Kingfisher and the Gnatcatcher!
Nice shot of the Red-headed WP's Lily!
nanny, nice shots of the Ruby-crowned Kinglet!
Not very nice weather here...rain/wind and 48 degrees..blaa...sunshine is coming in the middle of the week.
A shot of a Blue Jay from the other day. Just had an adult Cooper's Hawk capture a HS...he went right into their hiding spot and got one. Only 80 HS's left now. lol
Linth, I've been trying to get closer photos of the kingfishers here and still haven't got one near as good as yours-fantastic start! Love the clear, sharp feathers on the catbird pictures. Love the oriole and that gnatcatcher is adorable with the stern look.
Lily, great photo of the wps! Cute goldfinch too!
Nanny, cute photos and I think you're right with the Ruby-crowned Kinglet. I'm waiting for ours to return soon.
I seem to have a lot of goldfinches around here lately.
Good start, linth. I frequently see kingfishers, but you are right, they are difficult to approach for close shots. Haven't been taking any pics. I'm currently in TX. Came down to watch a couple of football games. I enjoyed the high school game more than the OU win over TX. But then it's not every day that your team can't lose. My grandsons' schools played each other Friday night.
Not a great shot of these Sandhills, but good perspective of their habitat. A high meadow in Yellowstone N.P. from last week.
Nice shots guys!!
Two American White Pelican were seen in Cape May today.

That is a nice shot!! I am still waiting to get a really good one of a chickadee!
Red, that sure is a beautiful scene with the cranes. Love the cygnet photo too!
Nanny, great shot of the Kinglet's colors on its back.
GP, your hummer looks so cute.
Pelle, glad the pelicans are at Cap May. That spot sure attracts a lot of different birds.
Threegardeners, your chickadee is just beautiful.
Our House Finches seem to be multiplying every day.
3G's, That's a wonderful shot!!
Red, Good one of the cygnet!
Sweet Finch duc! Nice one of the Mockingbird!
Awesome shots! I've been trying for ages to get a decent Flicker shot.
