There was one in the creek bed, and I was taking pictures when another landed. Talk about a lucky shot!
Daily Bird Pics, Vol. 348
WOW!!
Amazing shot! They sure are beautiful. I don't know what has happened to my resident Red-Bellied Woodpeckers. I have not seen either one for a few days.
Tigerlily, fantastic photos!! That last one is really lucky!! Glad you're seeing lots of birds-we are too!
That is an awesome shot Tiger!!
Very nice warblers Burd! I keep hoping to see a GCK and would really love to add a Cape May to my list!
Fantastic photos Burd, I especially liked the Golden-crowned Kinglet!
warblers are hard to see, never mind photograph.

I find Kinglets, Ovenbirds, and Brown Creepers the most challenging to photograph.
Greats shots gang!!
Hi & welcome growum!! Nice to see you and your pics here!
I was soooooo excited yesterday!! I had a first year male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker come to the birdbath!!! I have had female Sapsuckers before but have never even seen a male before! He came by last week too but I didn't get a photo of him. I was really hoping he would come back.
Welcome growum!
Nice pics burn and nanny! Good to see the Sapsucker enjoying the bath.
Welcome growum! Glad you're starting to enjoy your birds! You'll soon find they have lots of personality to keep you entertained.
Burn, great job with the eagle photo. I haven't seen mine for several weeks now.
Iris, just enjoy those warblers.
Nanny, I can see why you got so excited about the new sapsucker-it's adorable and I'm happy for you. What fun it must have been to watch it in your bath. Cute wren, cardinals too. Glad you're enjoying the waxwing too-I'm still waiting for them here.
This female House Finch was posing for me.
Duc, Wonderful photos! Those American Goldfinch are so cute. You live in a great birding area!
Nanny, So great that the Waxwing came into the bird bath!
Wow, I just went through the last thread. Amazing photos and congrats to Resin on #406!
Beautiful pics here. LOVE the flicker photos. Terribly jealous of the kinglet and the black-throated warblers b/c had both this morning and could not get camera to focus. Finally figured out that I had it on "mountain" setting. Yikes. Oh well.
Saw a small group of migrating Broad-winged Hawks this morning -- maybe 25-30. They are very hard to photograph but really amazing to see.
