I live in the UK and have a turning circle in the middle of my front drive (about 8 meters diameter) It is planted with grass, and has a lime tree in the middle. At present it is edged all around with curry plants, and they are looking shabby and dire. I tried keeping them in line by cutting off the flowers (which I did not like anyway) but the snow came, destroyed a lot, and now it all looks just a jumble. Someone suggested replacing them with box, but it will be expensive, and is a bit "classic". Someone else suggested Olea Fragans, but I wonder if they can be kept low and in control. I like the thought of fragrance, but also need low maintenance. Or Holly?
Any and all suggestions gratefully received.
With thanks,
Tara
help with low hedging possibilities
Did you want an evergreen? flowering? how tall?
Something in Sarcococca spp. seems sufficient...
How about a Daphne Aureomarginata - Winter Daphne?
