My Acuba is getting too big for the area we have chosen....
When is the best time to prune?
When is the best time to shape?
I have found out that the 'black' leaves are the result of past pruning at the wrong timing and I don't want to make that mistake again.
Can you help me?
Acuba Shrub
Please, there are so many of you out there.... I need assistance.
Can anyone offer me some simple advise?
I do really appreciate it.....
What they article at that link doesn't tell you is that you shouldn't prune them now because they may try to push new grow afterward and it will get burned by the first frost. You should wait until at least late March to prune Aucuba in your zone. After that you can prune them anytime throughout spring and summer as long as you stop pruning by late August.
Thank You so much...
I thank you for your time....
I will refrain from my shaping until much later.
I have learned a lot today.
Have a good day
