Had a rare visitor over here last week, a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper. It should be in Australia. It turned up in England, and stayed 2 days before realising its mistake. Inevitably, it attracted a huge crowd of birders, me included. Hardly need add, a new one for me.

Congrats Resin!
Very nice, Res!
Hack, no problem. I am fortunate to live on the I-35 corridor where the Rubys and Black-chins overlap. I hadn't seen a Black-chin in a while, but that gorget was unmistakable. Very difficult to tell them apart with seeing it, you are correct.
Congratulations Resin! I'll bet that did draw a big crowd. Love that Pied Flycatcher too! Thanks for starting the new thread!
A Swainson's Warbler was captured and banded near Cape May State Park yesterday and a Western Kingbird was also seen.

Resin - Thanks for the thread start and congrats on your Lifer - must come few and far between for you. lol
pelle - the Black-throated Blue Warblers in the first link is the one I think is prettiest.
Hey Burd, all those pics on the last thread were great, especially the Brown Creeper and the Chickadee having a moment alone on your bird bath.

Nice shots Resin! Congrats on the new bird! I,m sure you have a large list.
Thanks for the Cape May updates Pelle!
Hack, thanks! Rain the next couple of days...look's like later in the week I can get back to the marsh...hope the Warbler's are still in numbers.
I would have to agree Resin! :)
Oak Titmouse is still here, and has made county record. So folks, keep taking pictures, keep sharing them, and learn who you should report unusual sightings too. Even if your images aren't the best, but you're able to ID, save them. I trashed my Great-tailed Grackle shots a few years back. That bird would have made record too, had I saved the lousy photos for documentation.
The following is a communication from a records keeper birdwatcher about the titmouse.
"Yours are the first verified records for Douglas County and, as such,
represent a range extension to the north of perhaps 30-40 miles. There are
no previous documented records for the Umpqua drainage; all known range has
been in the Rogue Valley, north to the foothills above Sams Valley and north
to the vicinity of Sexton Mountain."
Edited to mention that the Rogue Valley is south in Jackson County which borders California.

Great photos everyone, I've way behind and trying to catch up.
Tigerlily, congratulations on your titmouse! I'm surprised that you're so close to the border of our state. I'm in Lake county which is a few hours south of you. I'll tell more of my little ones to visit their cousins at your house.
