Sydney again and more volunteers.
Morning Glories 2010 #21
Nice seedlings A and Becky. Love the indica and the beautiful red blooms A.
Becky your albivenia and giant stictocardia look great.
Cute doggies A
I agree! what a treat to see such awsome blooms and plants this time of the year.
A, is there a name for that red with frost edge? It sure looks like the one I grew, and would love to know for sure what it is. I can always dream I had a cross, but a Named flower and origin would be even better.
If only I knew where that plant came from..
Your plants look awesome Becky, you are doing a great job growing them.
I agree it's really a nice treat to see all these beautiful blooms Antoinette!!
Thanks Jackie and Deborah,
Hi Deborah, I am wondering if it is not from that Korean Pack mix that we got a couple of years ago. Last year was the first time I tried that pack and maybe it is from that, or an Akatsuki seed from the mix, maybe a sport of Kohkan? Since it is a volunteer it is hard to tell which one it could be.
Thanks Helena, I enjoy them also, the turtles were eating some of the spent flowers that fall into their water bowl.
This one a beauty!

Antoinette in your tons of volunteers no variegated leaf?
I don't know, I keep yanking and pulling them out, there are just too many seedlings, I can't deal with them choking my other plants out..
However, I did try to introduce the virus to an I. indica but didn't see anything happen there, might try it again this coming spring, also with some tri-colors. Any good experiments going on in your part of the woods?
Thank You everyone.
I just love the perennial vines also and will be planting more of them next year.
Antoinette I love the volunteers,...I have had volunteers for the past 3 yrs and am going to let most of my vines reseed this yr too.
Becky the vines you've shared look like they are very healthy cant wait to see some blooms from them.
Ive been covering my vines that are around the porch with sheets so the frost doesn't get them.
its nice to have blooms this time of the year and I'm hoping for the cold weather to stay away for a few more weeks.
I have a ton of cypress vine striped red and pink seed pods that are ripening slowly so i hope they hurry up and ripen before the first freeze.
Jackie loved your pretty blooms, also Lindas FS and Robbies indica bloom too!!!
Can't wait till early spring to start sowing, didn't grow FS this year but will next year. I also have an indica that been growing kind of out of control but no buds in sight and it's getting way too cool now.
Beautiful bloom, Jackie. Robbie I just love cypress vines. My little red morning glories are going crazy, so are the cypress and cardinal vines. I cleared out some of the patio vines, the pods were dry and the vines yellowed, now my cestrums and jessimines can have fun.
That crazy wild vine hederafolia var. lutea just keeps going everywhere, no matter ow much I cut it. it grows roots in the air, the patio, in the bean patch. sheese. I cut a bunch of it back again tonight. My turbinas are turboing right now inside.. this is the beach morning glory. I hve three of them, I am sending one off to someone who wants it. the stem is woody.
Thanks, Antoinette, Helena, and Robbie! I hope to start seeing some blooms soon! If they were outside, I'd have buds by now, but it looks like them growing indoors is going to take a little longer.
Antoinette - Love all the beautiful blooming vines you have growing around your courtyard and in garden beds. I hope your Shikanako starts blooming for you soon! Along with all the other vines! :-) I'm ready to see some flowers on all these vines! LOL! Love the doggies!
The NOID reddish-pink bloom does look like Kohkan to me, too! Very pretty whatever the cultivar or sport (cross) is!
Robbie - Nice cypress vines. Another one I like, but have to grow in an area where it can't easily reseed.
Jackie - Beautiful purple speckles!! One of my favorites! I really like the variegation on the leaves! Really nice vine you have there!
Debra - Your basement greenhouse plants look all cozy and happy down there!
Thanks Becky and Debra. Your vines are thriving Debra.

Debra, I wish I had a place like that to keep my babies in... very nice.
Robbie, good job with the cypress vine, I wish it would grow well here.. it is too dry here.
Becky, thanks, I don't know, about these vines indoors, I have never grown them indoors for the whole life of the plants before, might just not do so well here. they look a little depressed..lol, for lack of a better word. But, they are hanging in there.
Jackie, that is a nice variegated leafed out speckles.. Very attractive.
Thanks A, I really enjoyed this speckled vine this summer.
It's making me a few seeds.
Mittys mail box vines bloomed three blooms downstairs.. I missed them, dang it.
looks like we are going to see some great blooms from you all this winter. I look forward to it.
Setosa is making new leaves and has three pods on it, it seems happy inside right now..
The other bloom is another plant, it blooms everyday for me.
Nice blooms Debra. That last one does resemble the color of Xiong's somewhat
That is what I was thinking, Jackie .
A beat up Silver Wolf F1 bloom. It also looks like a clone of the parent plant.
I don't expect either one of those vines to do much as it is late in the season. But I am hoping for seeds from the Blue Speckled clone which will give me some seeds to grow-out indoors under lights to try to stabilize this neat cross!
Helena, wish I had grown Black King this summer after seeing all the pretty blooms yours produced. Maybe I can this coming summer.
Becky love your Blue Speckles blooms and the colors in the Silver Wolf bloom.
Thanks Yall!
I didn't know if the cypress vine would get out of hand or not so i put it on the porch to keep a close eye on it just in case.
Everyone has Beautiful vines love the pics you have been sharing with us Thanks.
I'm hoping that the ones i have in the house do well for me this winter i still need to get a plant light for them.
Black King is gorgeous. So is the blue speckles and Silver wolf. Only one still blooming besides purps is the one on the fence, the big one.
Jackie - Maybe your Turbinata takes several years to get good and established before it blooms it's little vine off? Pretty lavender bloom regardless of the lack of more blooms! :-)
I love those. Worth the wait to see one or two blooms.
Helena, that is really a nice looking one... It bloomed just in time for the Fall season with that pretty pumpkin color...!!
Helena - Lovely little yellow bloomer! I think you are right that LYK crossed with Kohkan. Sure looks like it!
Red - That looks awesome! I wish mine were that lush! I love those Moonflower vines and blooms! Beautiful!
Love the blooms Everyone nice show for this time of year.
Jackie - Pretty Silver Shadows bloom! I grew out an F1 seed this year and the blooms were pink not gray! It looked just like it, just a different color! LOL!
Oh those are so cute ( the pumpkin)
my little red mg from ridesredmule has been going crazy.
I have been trying very hard to get the seed pods from everything before they pop open, I have baskets of vines drying out everywhere.
I took this picture on the way to get lunch today down the street from where I work, I sure wish my neighbors would let me do this like I used to..
It is nice seeing them right now, since most of my fence ones are torn up.
Sure do have some nice blooms going on there zinnia and helenka.
silver shadows is pretty too!
