North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread, Part 2

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Does someone have John Fannick Phlox to trade? I've discovered mine bit the dust during the heat wave. :(

Arlington, TX

Banana,
I do not know which is which! I will give you all the small starts and you can find out for yourself? I just stuck them into some tomatoe pots and now its a mystery. I listed the 3 type they are above.

Pat, I've got you down for caladiums and coleus -- I'll probably be bringing you mostly cuttings on the coleus side of the equation (I've been trying to get out and stick a few cuttings in pots the past few days but haven't managed that yet).

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I have been to the country and dug a lot more liatris mucronata so liatris is back on my list.
I have also added white salvia greggii. This morning I found a big salvia broken completely off in the center, probably deer damage. There are quite a few small to medium rooted divisions that I can pull out and pot up if anyone wants some.

Kate, coleus cuttings are perfectly fine! I actually have my potting table cleaned off and ready to use for the first time in months. :>) Thank you for the caladiums too.

Arlington, TX

I think this is correct. Please let me know if I left you off this list.

Arlington, TX

Patrob, I would love a couple liatris.
C

I also have a large obedient plant if anyone wants it (fall blooming, not potted)

Wichita Falls, TX

StephanieTX -- I have John Fannick Phlox -- I'll pot a couple more for you. Can I have some Katies Ruella Pink?

Kenboy -- if any coralberry left, I'd love one.

Newtonsthirdlaw - still have those DL babies -- I'd love to take them off your hands.

Smockette -- what color and size are the loropetalum. I planted a couple last year and they are not doing well. Thinking about replacing, if yours are still available.

Thanks All!

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

patrob~ could I please get a liatris from you?

Arlington, TX

greta I think DL unknowns are going to banana. If I have more I will bring them for you.
C

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Greta, thanks for the JF Phlox! I've gotcha covered on the ruellia..

Wichita Falls, TX

Anybody have any Candlestick Cassia seeds? I planted mine way too late and didn't get any blooms, therefore no seeds. I'd love to try them again next year -- earlier. Thinking they would make nice shade for some veggies in the garden.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Greta, if you have any of these still available, I would love to have starts of
phlox - John Fanick
and each of the lantanas : Samantha, Irene, trailing purple or white
(Lantana cuttings would be fine as can usually root them successfully.)
Please check my list to see what I can bring for you.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Cheryl, I have pink ruellia and white. If the white blooms before the RU, I will know where it is! Do you have garnet red salvia greggii? You can give the DLs to Greta if she still wants.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Greta, I have about 16 seeds of cassia alata (candlestick cassia) that I can bring for you. They are from 2008. but they might germinate.

Arlington, TX

I will pass on the ruellias but a garnet salvia sounds interesting and I will take one. Greta gets the small DL, hope she isn't disapointed as they are quite small.

patrob, how many Bananas do you want?

Dallas, TX

Pat,

I'd really like to have some liatris mucronata and white salvia greggii.

Oh and I have the Irene Lanatana for you as well :)

Many thanks!

Kate

Does anyone want Mammoth Dill seeds? I've got tons from my plants this spring/summer.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello again, I am in need of Qt. size round pots. I find these work real well for taking mid size Brug cuttings and Costus Ginger cuttings.

I also have three NOID spiral Gingers.

Steph I would love a few mammoth dill seeds. Just a few will do.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I am also running out of pots. I am going to try and drill some 32 oz yogurt containers.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Anna, was it you who wanted balloon flower seeds?

Cheryl, I put your name on some dill seeds.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Tina,
I am afraid it met with a bad fate. Since no one claimed it I pulled up instead of digging it and it is in pieces on the compost heap, I am sorry.
Cheryl

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, I'm going to take a chance on the black & blue salvia. I can always trade it away if it gets too bad.

Pbtxlady~Can I get a flame acanthus, too, please?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Got you for the flame acanthus, Ken.

Dennis, if no one has asked for your crinum, could you put it down for me, please? Same request for anyone else who has them not already promised. I would love to start a whole bed of them. Not picky about color--they are all beautiful.

Catzgalore, do you have any of the purple datura seeds left?

I am also looking for a cutting or two of the common purple/green variegated wandering jew. This one is for my dad. Anyone out there have it?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

You sure can, Stephanie.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie. you have a great memory! I forgot about it! Would you start the balloon seeds now or wait for spring?
OK Kenboy (love that name!) Will check on moonshine tomorrow.
Pbtxlady, I have some wandering jew. It has not done that well this year, so if others have a more robust one, I will let them go ahead. I will take a pic to make sure it is what you want.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

pbtxlady, what about the Mystic Spires? D-mail me your Brug list and I will see what I can do.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Pbtxlady, I'll put you down for the white crinum.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Dennis, for the crinum, and Anna for the wandering jew.

Ken--LOL--I got your d-mail and thought you were looking for brug cuttings from me. You don't need to find a trade for anything from me! You and Maggi have already blessed me with so many things, I wish you'd just come to my yard and pick a truck-full of things you like. :) But, regarding Mystic Spires, I will have to tell you like I told Pat. I have failed to root Mystic before, and now we're short on time, so I can't guarantee that I can bring you rooted cuttings either. I'll just stick the cuttings tomorrow, and bring you the cup, rooted yet or not. If it doesn't make it, then we'll try again in the spring.
