You guys are quick!
North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread, Part 2
tina--if you still have a bananna available can i try one? i will try and dig up a crape myrtle that you have on want list
sheila
grubby
dennis-------------i do not have down what you want from me
if anyone has purple majesty millet seeds i would love to trade for them
also any ginger extras i will trade for also
Stephanie, maybe you can set aside some mint marigold seeds for planolinda. I potted up some, but I didn't realize it is an annual since it pops up around the same place. If the plant doesn't bloom, she will have nothing!
Maybe it comes back from the roots?? It came up in just about the same place this year as well as several other places! I'll look to see if I still have seeds from last year. If not, I'll save some this fall.
I still have 1 fan of SA Firecracker. Did you want it, Anna?

Thankyou Stephanie, I would love it. You did such a good job selling it, it was picked up fast!
Don't worry about the seeds. I just reread your post and I see you were offering plants. Don't worry about potting up the DL. Just throw it in a bag and wrap the roots in damp newspaper.
Don't worry, it won't be potted up! LOL It's already got the roots wrapped in a paper towel and they're in a ziploc bag with the tops hanging out.
Stephanie....I will take the two blackberry lilies....I never got them going in my garden before.
Linda..... I will take the yellow canna and can always use more passiflora if you have more Maypop.

Hi! I've been checking out my yard for seed. Anyone interested in Gomphrena? I have light pink and hot pink that are beginning to dry out. I'll bring some, if you want them, their yours.
I also have been collecting some cypress vine (?). . . . tiny red tubular blooms that the humming birds love, very fine ferny leaves. They are just beginning to dry. I'll bring what I've collected for whomever may want them. . .

Would love to have some cypress vine please.
Planolinda,
I have hubby digging one up for you.

Hi Linda, you have me down for the pink muhly grass - many thanks!
lol I was the one who asked for pink muhly grass. Maybe there's enough to share.
Patrob,
This time that is one that I asked for (the pink muhly). I just double checked thread (wow are these threads long!), Linda and I arranged on Sept. 18 and you and Linda arranged on the 28th . So I'm guessing there is enough for both of us. If not, I'm happy for it to go you -- I'm sure there will be more available at future RUs.
Kate
Kate, no problem. I certainly don't mind if you have it. Your post , to me, sounded as though you were surprised, so I assumed, incorrectly, that Linda had put the wrong name on it. Getting into the trading late, I only looked back at the second trade thread. As the kids say (or did a few years ago when I quit teaching), my bad. My sorry too.
Ah, yes I can see how my email reads that way (effusive thanks plus exclamation point). Note to self -- no emailing while tired. I'm sure it will all work out. I always end up with more plants than I know what to do with, so -- as the kids say, "it's all good".
I'm sorry if I've just caused a lot of confusion for everyone, I read Linda's email as she didn't have me down for anything. I'm sorry if I misinterpreted.

I have all the seed's for trade ready and if anybody else want's to try any I'll have several tomorrow with me for swaps.
See all in a few hours.
Linda~ Sorry..no toad. BUT I will have the peruvian daffodils for you. I don't know what happened to the big white toad. I had seen him a bunch, then I ask for him to be caught and he's no where to be seen...go figure. I would like to try some of you purple ajuga if that's ok with you.
This is the point at which I wish I had not sat down earlier today and started watching the Rangers game. They could have lost without me. :>( I still have to load the van and pull the crinum babies from around the mother bulbs. I tried that a little while ago in the dark and discovered that the fire ants had gone up the leaves to get away from the water I was running to soften the ground. OUCH!!! I'll finish after the sun comes up tomorrow, but I hope to be on the road by 8:30 and miss the worst of the traffic. Everyone have a safe trip!
Smockette called me and ask that I relay some info on plants that she is bringing from her Mother's house. She doesn't have a computer there…...so here goes….
Fushia Four O’Clocks
Blue or maybe purple Ageratum (digging in the dark!)
3 variety of Rose cuttings….18” enough to share with several people.
‘Mardigras’
‘Buff Beauty’
‘Mutablis’
Don't post requests, because she won't know you asked for them.....just see her tomorrow. Fist come first served.
Ditto....on being safe folks....
And traffic may be a concern as the Rangers will play a ballgame tomorrow at noon in Arlington.
We will be eating at the beginning of the RU so drop off your dish and sign in as soon as you get to the pavillion. Thanks, Sheila

Hi all, I've updated my "giving" list. If you're expecting something from me please check my thread. I'll check here to see if I miss anything before I pack up in the morning. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Sheila, I would just love to have your Blue Crown passi. If it's hardy, I'm happy; if it's evergreen, I'm thrilled. Hope I'm not too late posting this.
Alyce, you prolly won't see this, but I think it was me asking for datura seeds.
I don't remember who posted it, but the photo of the variegated wandering jew--yes, that's the one.
For those who were asking, my butterfly bush does great, starts blooming in May and is still going strong. It's one of the specimen plants in my garden that always looks good, even in mid-August when everything else is exhausted from the heat. It's always covered with butterflies and bees, and I've even seen a couple of hummers take a nibble. Bonus: it's evergreen. It's the species and not one of the hybrids--maybe that makes a difference?
Josephine, can you leave extra place at my table? Anita is bringing a lot of plants: some big beautyberry too.
We will the beat we can, see you later.
Josephine,
I will still be bringing the casserole, but I am changing the dessert to brownies and chocolate muffins.
Fine Tina, thank you for all you do.
Josephine.
