Karen - Sorry ... I guess I misread that you are really talking about the synergy of the old group?
Unfortunately ... it seems the only thing certain and constant in life ... is change.
Dany's MGs 2010 part 6
Becky, the seeds are really tiny and strange looking to me.. almost like if they are not normal.. but distorted. I'll look for the ones I should have and take a picture so you can see what they look like, little round balls of sort if I remember correctly, some were dark brownish red/and blackish. I'll see if I find them.
Curiosity is a good thing guys, someone once told me that we need to respect gardener's for their experience not just scholars for their degrees.. and, it is true. We all learn and are scholars in our own rights, common sense goes a long way. I forget who said that, book smart isn't the only way. Farmers long ago never attended Universities or went to the libraries to find out what the problems were, they were hands-on and figured it out, just like we are trying to.. so, kudo's ladies, to all of us.

I couldn't agree more with you, Antoinette.
Thanks for bringing up the importance of experience vs. education. Not everyone has both and you are right ... each has their value in the garden!
I find the Ebay from China, his name is taobao.

Dany, thanks for posting that website. I hope Karen-05 continues to do well - I look forward to growing her seeds. I love the way she combines genetic information with such a beautiful presentation, for all to enjoy.
I think it's great that gardeners have come through this forum and developed more expertise in different areas that we still all can enjoy. I like to buy their seeds (and trade, when the timing is right for me) and talk with the ones that "will still give me the time of day" and stay in touch with them. And, on this forum, I wish I felt more free to refer to all of them and their different kinds of gifts to this forum, regardless of the different ways they may have impacted different folks.
If this post is not acceptable; i.e., needs to be deleted - let me know.

Dany - I agree with you about Karen doing the genetic work to create some amazing vines and blooms! She's grown out a lot of vines to try to get some hybrids. Her speckled vines are to die for! And her website is worth a peek at! She has done some very nice documentation of some of her crosses! I find it very interesting, since I am wanting to try more serious crosses myself.
Me too, I look forward to growing out her seeds. I've been saving some of her mixes here for spring. I'm afraid to lose them during the fall/winter grow outs.
Dany, thanks for posting her site, it is worth looking at.

Amazing variegation on the purpurea.
Drop dead gorgeous bloom Dany.
Dany - Very neat variegation on the I. purpurea leaves. Who grew that particular mutant variegated vine? Was it one of yours?
The bloom in this photo is beautiful: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8237521
Very special bloom Dany. I love it.
White and dark pink Sidare? Cool! You should bid on those! :-)
Love that bloom (Q117)! Very pretty!
James - You should pot that rooted cutting in some good soil. It might reward your efforts with tons of blooms this winter! Very pretty blooms and amazing that it is doing so well! Way to go!!!
No pic of the roots?
These pods will give them viable seeds??
