I do not have a green thumb. Tropicals are my fav....when I remember to water.
I received a tropical planter about two years ago. There is a peace lilly that has a stem about 6 inches long. It's getting a little top heavy, tends to bend slightly to one side. I made a support out of straws to help hold it up. As you can see in the picture (sorry about the blur) from the bottom up where it turns to a lighter green, this is where most of the leaves have grown from. There are a few below on the stem. It also has about 10 white bumps (shown) 6 on the other side. Which I was always told that if you place them in water roots will grow.
I was wondering if I can cut the stem just below the lower three bumps(in the pic) if it would reroot and survive.

From the ONE leaf that is showing in your picture--it looks more like an Anthurium--
aka "Passion Flower"....
These plants rise above the soil level and din't mind being root bound.
Would you have a picture of the whole pl;ant, please???
