Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Takes me forever at the store anymore I read every label not just for ingredients but now for where a product is from....why can't we grow our own mushrooms? do we really have to import them from China????? honestly.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You can buy a kit and do it yourself. Just remember to add heavy metals and other toxins to match the Chinese ones!

Thomaston, CT

Left over pasta.....my friend from Foxboro called last night...her husband made Martha Stewart's 3 garlic pasta last night....he added white beans to the recipe.....sounds good to me!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL, Victor, I was thinking to myself "sheesh!! you can grow mushrooms in your closet and we have to get them from China??? What the heck!"

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

someone has to shovel the manure

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL - I figure if I dare to ingest fresh spinach....and eggs... and chicken.... how bad can bologna be? At least up front I know that it has been processed to death and hopefully all the living organisms have been slaughtered along with the meat (and chemicals)!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

now you are talkin!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great reasoning! Works for me.

I got some in the fridge, no wonder why they call it Wunderbar

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

I used to hold bologna over the fire (gas range) My mom would scream about dripping the oil on the stove. I guess it was the good instincts of a kid ---I must have known I had to kill something in it and kill it good!

I can remember (was it in the 60's???) going to the Worlds Fair in NY....with the school. Wow those school trips were the best..riding the buses and the trains..with some spending money ($1.50 or 2 bucks!) peanut butter and jelly sandwich...a soda...bag of chips.... Anyway...at the fair there was something called 'canadian bacon' .... a little circle of heaven looking like bologna... I tasted that thing (I was just a little italian gal from Brooklyn and so I knew meatballs and such ... but "not no foreign bacon!!" and I thought it was heaven on earth.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)
