Celosia Plumosa

Miami, FL(Zone 10b)

How can I get the seeds? Where are they located, I'm asking this because I love these plants and since they're annuals I'd like to keep growing them.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Just google celosia plumosa seeds and a whole list of places to purchase them will come up.

You can put the celosia in a small brown paper bag---let it completely dry out--and the seeds will fall in the bottom of the bag. Works for me. Some people put a white paper towel around the bloom in the bag. This way it is easier to see the seeds.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I grew celosia plumosa a couple years ago from seed. They still come back every year. They grow like weeds everywhere and I constantly have to pull them out. Since it hasn't rained I haven't had to mow the grass in a very long time but the celosia is still growing in the middle of the yard. It's even in my neighbor's yard. Maybe it won't be such a problem in your region, but thought I'd share my experience with it.

Amesbury, MA

I got some seeds from a local park when most of the plants went to seed
I have no idea what the right name is but here is what I got -some type of celosia
it grew to about 4 feet high.

That is called Wheat straw celosia. This comes in several colors. Great for flower arrangement and also dries well. I think this might be the one you have. It is beautiful with your pink zinnias.
